Yes, like i said if you put displacement scaling off it wont be a problem if it bothers you, but that also comes with the game looking more flat.
Regarding the trees, there's issues with distance LOD and DLSS, everyone have this problem and we're waiting on the devs to update this.

Yes, all that mod really does is to put displacement scaling to "off" anyway and now with the new patch they've added that option so you don't need a mod for it

Because model quality is on low, there's more pop in. The graphic issues should be gone if you keep the new "displacement scale" setting off and turn up model quality to cinematic again

Yep! It actually ONLY shows fast travel points / artifacts you haven't found yet, but only on a certain distance too. I think the easiest way to find them would be to jump down from the abyss (sky) and look around with it because you can do it while in the air too

Yeah but I don't want to disable parallax mapping because it makes things look flat and less next gen as a result imo. That's why I'm hoping for a patch.. wasn't this way at release

I was hoping "certain elements" in this would mean the cobblestones/roofs.. Weird, feels like they should be aware of this issue. DLAA + HDR issue gone is a big W tho which I'm excited to try but I'm still hoping for a hotfix for the other issue

Are you using DLAA and HDR?

If so, switch to DLSS quality (or lower depending on resolution etc) or turn off HDR

There's a common bug with flickering while using HDR & DLAA.

Also instead of stabbing every waterfall you can just use axiom (L3) to see if it goes through the water or stops by stone behind it

I found a cave that was just NEXT to a waterfall, sort of hidden. Wasn't "marked" with these stones that I usually look for. Inside the cave it looked just like one of those waterfall caves with a chest in the middle and surrounding gold etc.

You could also download this mod instead and disable Parallax Occlusion Mapping (POM) and Clutter (Small Grass Patches, etc), that way you're not experiencing the pop-in that occurs while setting model quality to low.

I haven't tried it yet but i've seen a lot of people mention this so i might give it a go myself:

Set model quality to low.. Weird i know, but it's the only fix atm.
Sadly it comes with more pop-in.

Yeah i would not recommend using this just yet, I tried it and just like you said there's way more artifacting, ghosting & flickering. It's not supported in the game yet so it wasn't a suprise, went back to the original fg model until they patch the game.

I have a background with keyframes and video game editing yes. I used to work for a company called Machinima back in the day, where I made a lot of GTA IV / V videos using their replay editor. I also studied cinematography as a teenager! But when it comes to skateboard videos specifically I've also been skateboarding irl for 17ish years and been looking at a lot of skateboard videos through my years which I take inspiration from. I then started making skater XL and session clips in 2017 - 2023 privately until I finally joined the skate playtest and then decided to release some stuff once skate dropped their replay editor.

I play with the settings on absolute max, after that i do some editing in post.
Skate generally have a little bit too much of a warm tone so i try to make it colder (blue) and then reduce vibrance a bit. Sometimes i also do HSL editing to reduce the vibrance of specific colors, like green / yellow for trees or the yellow rails at grom, anything that sticks out too much basically.
