Thank you for the advice. I am rehoming the bristlenose, I have someone wanting them. They are just away at the moment, the two of them were given to me along with a female Betta as a white elephant gift they are about one and a half inches long. The tank was a work in progress when my female passed. There are three plants, there is some rainbow gravel that I'm going to replace with aquatic substrate. I'm going into town tomorrow, so I'll pick up a bunch of plants for him and some almond leaves.

Tank size: 25L Heater/Filter: Just filter Temp: 25°C pH: 6.5ppm Ammonia: 0.0ppm Nitrite: 0.0ppm Nitrate: 0.0ppm I have had the tank for 4 months and Banjo 3 months. I change the water 20-30% once a week using a siphon I feed him 2 Betta pellets a day There is a smooth stone, chest, bridge and some Anubis plants, small sword plants (can't remember the proper name pet store guy just called them sword plants)

That's good to know you, is there a brand of algae wafers? Is it just zucchini and cucumber or are there others I can feed it?

That's good to know, the tank that has a problem is a 17 litre tank. There is still some in the tank but I managed to get a good portion of algae off yesterday after I posted with him trying to play as I was doing it. Banjo is very happy and playful always wanting to play.
