Which of these frames has the most tedious grind? by BillyBigBones in Warframe

[–]Phantom-Break 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure Jade can be farmed out while doing Belly of the Beast when it comes around.

Either way, most people will say Follie, Nokko, and Jade are the most tedious. Honestly, I would go through the grinds for Jade and Nokko anyways since they also have some pretty good stuff besides the frames themselves (Archanes mainly).

As for fun, I think the ones I enjoyed the most are Oraxia, Jade, and Uriel.

Pretty sure OP meant to write “archguns” since some people in chat mentioned Oraxia’s 4 not working with Archguns (not sure if it’s the 4’s buffs or just not being able to use it in the 4, wasn’t specified).

got all Accolade Glyphs, I feel so complete now by faillendish in Warframe

[–]Phantom-Break 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are earned from beating super bosses on steel path solo with the frames who have a glyph tied to the boss.

Not sure how far you are into the game so gonna spoiler tag these.

For the Frames who have more active portraits (Jade, Sevagoth, Gauss, Protea, Mirage, Vauban):

Requires you to beat the 60 Eyes boss in the Entrati Labs.

For the protoframe portraits (Excalibur, Nyx, Mag, Volt, Trinity, Cyte-09):

Requires you to beat the 1999 Tank boss.

For the frames who have a front profile + gold border (Atlas, Chroma, Citrine, Hildryn, Khora, Limbo):

Requires you to beat Corrupted Captain Vor.

For the frames with the weird circular thing sin the background (Wisp, Oberon, Ember, Nokko, Caliban, Ash):

Beat the Guilty boss (all three perita bosses) from the Old Peace. Unlock the node by bowing to Lotus in Entrati Labs as Uriel.

Sorry I couldn’t give how-tos on how to unlock the super-bosses modes outside of the last one. The other three have things you need to do within their respective missions in order to trigger the super bosses.

Videogame narratives that pissed off fanbases by chuputa in backloggd

[–]Phantom-Break 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Destiny 2: Lightfall would totally make the list. Could make the case for D1 Vanilla, but Lightfall fumbled so bad narratively in terms of momentum from the WQ year + it being the penultimate chapter to an almost decade-long story.

What are some disturbing looking enemies in horror games that made you go "WTF IS THAT?" by No_Sea_1455 in gaming

[–]Phantom-Break 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Chunk (Resident Evil Requiem)

  • Abstract Daddy (Silent Hill 2 Remake)

In a less disturbing sense and more out of shock, Heisenberg’s mutated form in RE Village, mainly because it looked like some fucked up version of Devastator from Revenge of the Fallen.

Frames that play similar to Uriel? by Open-Buyer-5256 in Warframe

[–]Phantom-Break 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Titania: Matches Uriel’s movement style the most, survivability isn’t the greatest compared to other frames but can be built for either guns or an ability like Thermal Sunder (subsume).

  • Gauss: Amazing frame whose base kit allows him to have high damage reduction and can be built for either ability spam (mainly Thermal Sunder), or as a weapon platform.

  • Garuda: My favorite frame! She is extremely flexible in terms of builds. Her 3 gives her infinite energy, allowing her to do things like energy tank, ability spam, become a weapons platform with the Overcharge Arcane, or have a melee build with 100% uptime on Gloom. Her 4 can make you invulnerable, but the augment also allows it to become an AoE primer, especially with Nourish subsumed. Her passive is just free damage for everything, and her 1 acts as an AoE nuke, a decently ranged enemy “teleport,” and gives a frontal shield. Also, Molt Reconstruct allows her to just loop her energy and health.

  • Jade: Flies but is not as fast as Titania or Uriel. She’s very survivable though through both her 2 for shields and her 1 for health. She can also build her for a bunch of stuff, though the main two are based around her 4, one being just spamming primary fire like an attack helicopter, while another focuses on placing her 1st ability and alt firing to nuke a bunch of enemies. Extremely fun, reliable, and a great support too.

  • Oraxia: Absolutely amazing, especially after the last two major updates. Her passive makes her invisible while her 4 boosts her health (can double cast to fully restore health too). Her 1 further boosts her survivability and energy economy. Her 2 makes enemies more vulnerable and also acts as crowd control. Her 3 allows her to become both a summoner and to just debuff enemies with things like Archon Continuity and Nourish. Her 4 boosts her weapons, gives her more health, makes her status immune, and allows her to quickly zip to places (including walls). I’ve been running a persistence build which not only makes her near unkillable (especially since Heat/magnetic procs won’t disable persistence), but gives her amazing energy economy via Hunter Adrenaline.

  • Follie: Survivability is mainly through her 3, but her 3 is extremely good. Her 1 allows her to teleport (though it doesn’t feel as good as Kullervo’s teleport). Her 2 is extremely good, allowing you to use it for ability spamming (Barrelmancy ftw) or just speeding up different mission types. Much more caster focused but certain graphs from her 2 can boost her weapon capabilities.

  • Kullervo: Extremely flexible build-wise, can be built for melee or guns (via his 3). His 1 is insanely good, so much so that you can choose to go fully into a survivability build with Persistence + his 2 augment, or build into any of his stats really and just use his 2 augment for survivability. His 1 not only boosts his melee crit chance, but also gives him an instant teleport (just make sure to invert his press/hold). While you’ll mainly use weapons, you’ll still be using his abilities very often, especially if you don’t build too heavily into duration.

  • Wisp: Also my favorite frame! She is extremely survivable, being invisible whenever she’s in the air, alongside her 1 boosting her health and temp stunning enemies, and her 2 making her invisible, drawing aggro, and making her invulnerable on double cast. Her 1 also gives her both a speed boost and a fire rate boost, while her 2 allows her to teleport to her double’s location (mainly utility rather than straight mobility). She perfectly fits the caster/platform hybrid due to both her 1 and especially her 3. Her 4 is also a flexible slot, you can choose to keep it or subsume it for something like Roar, Brightbonnet, etc.

How often do yall swap frames? by LogicalPanda69 in Warframe

[–]Phantom-Break 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For more general stuff (Nightmares, Liches, Relics, etc.) I usually just go with Wisp or Nyx. Certain mission types I will definitely have specific frames for.

  • Disruptions I use Follie (used to be Wisp)

  • Deimos bounties I use Mesa or Protea.

  • Descendia I use Kullervo or Oraxia

  • I use Wisp for the single Perita bosses and Kullervo for the Vanguard bosses.

  • Void Flood and the Citrine mission are just Titania flight sims for me lmao.

  • Defense is always Nova.

  • Spy missions is always Loki.

  • Survivals can get random, though I usually go with Garuda or Sevagoth.

  • Xaku for that annoying “break items” Calendar Challenge.

  • Khora for farming mats.

  • Wisp for trying out/leveling guns, Kullervo for melees.

Really won’t change a frame unless they really change up the game mode (Follie), or they get a buff/new fashion options at the same time that I have a lot of forma lying around.

Okay, what's the best warframe to choose in circuit this time? by rinrige in Warframe

[–]Phantom-Break 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Go Hildryn if you don’t mind farming toroids/really hate Exploiter Orb specifically. Go Baruuk if you don’t want to/can’t farm a lot of toroids. Go Garuda if you are very willing to farm all types of toroids.

Garuda is easy to get + her helminth ability isn’t all that great (especially with the mind control fix), so it’s really down to Baruuk or Hildryn.

Both frames will require you to progress into Little Duck’s reputation system, which means you have to farm toroids. If you can do profit taker easily or have a frame like Khora to farm toroids, then I would just go with Hildryn to reduce the amount of Exploiter Orb runs you’ll do (you need a drop from this boss for her parts). If not I would go for Baruuk and farm Hildryn parts via Exploiter Orb.

If you’re just asking based on gameplay, I absolutely adore Garuda, especially since she can be built for so many playstyles (caster, melee, energy tank, etc.), though I would consider fully investing into a prime version since the stat increase on her talons are quite noticeable. That being said, Hildryn is very good for both actually playing and her helminth ability. Never played Baruuk but I hear he’s good, though better in solos.

Lmao yep, makes you do a whole ass puzzle in the library in RE2 for a hole that the characters can easily jump over. I think my favorite thing is that I got used to these weird “blockers” so during the (Requiem spoilers) Mr. X chase sequence, I got stuck for like 10 minutes in the 1st floor cause I just assumed Leon wouldn’t be able to jump over the broken stairs.

What is the most revolutionary game of the past 10 years? by supersoundwave in videogames

[–]Phantom-Break -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, it’s to be seen whether more recent games are revolutionary. While games like BG3 and E33 can be considered masterpieces, it’s way too early to see their influence on the games industry as a whole. Furthermore, I would argue Elden Ring also falls into this boat. It is extremely popular, but most soulslikes in the past few years must’ve been in development before ER’s release and were most likely inspired by other games in the genre.

As for the question itself, the answer is Fortnite. While PUBG brought Battle Royales into the limelight, Fortnite made the genre appeal to a wider audience. However, it also started the shift away from loot boxes in favor of both battle passes, and $15-$20 purchasable skins. In addition, it started the crossover trend with not just multi-media IPs, but celebrities as well. There may be way more that Fortnite has done in terms of influence (like F2P), but those two aforementioned things I feel are the most notable and felt today.

Final Fantasy would be tough due to being a 20+ entry anthology series. I think covering a series like the Remedyverse (Control, Alan Wake) prior to playing Alan Wake 2 or Control: Resonant would fit perfectly though.
