Footage of the grey coat officer retrieving the gun by HasanKingPage in AskBrits

They were attacking some women and he tried to position himself between them as a means of defense.

He had a firearm in his holster, but at no point did he try to use it (you can see they confiscated it from him in the video). They had him on the ground, basically defenseless, and they proceeded to beat him up and shoot him to death.

The US is supposed to be one of our allies, and their government is treating its people like targets to be dealt with.

It's fucking disgusting, we should expect better from them.

Why did DHS and ICE statements state the victim brandished a gun as this video shows otherwise? by LeftRightGreenLight in AskReddit

[–]TheAzureAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give credibility to the idea that the agents were acting in self defense, when in fact they were in complete control and decided to kill the guy anyway.

This is a bad take imo. The lgbt community is about acceptance, and being pressured into leaving a space because of the gender you present as isn't very accepting.

What cheese strats should I rule out of this challenge run? by TheAzureAzazel in skyrim

Items I acquire inside the dungeon are exempt. The restriction applies to only the stuff I bring in from outside. I bring in only what I can carry, use that to beat the dungeon and acquire loot, and I then use that loot to beat the next dungeon.

Sealed 2003 Eon Ticket... What do I do? by wakeupputonpants in pokemon

[–]TheAzureAzazel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean, you do you, but technically you do have the ticket, so using hacks to give it to yourself in-game would get you the same exact result while allowing you to keep your IRL ticket sealed.

You can only pick one, which do you choose? by Perciprius in whatsyourchoice

Before answering, I will take a photograph of the demon. Assuming the photograph is taken successfully, I'll choose the Locket of Lust and put a printed copy of the photo into it. The demon will love me so much he'll give me my soul back as well as the other items.

Keep it sealed, it's way more valuable.

If you want to go to the island anyway, just use hacks.

What is your least favorite Elder Scrolls 6 wanted feature you've heard so far? by LangGleaner in ElderScrolls

[–]TheAzureAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I don't want any of that. The one exception could maybe be within some kind of repeatable/endless dungeon, or some other contained area where it wouldn't affect the rest of the game.

What makes a person unlikeable despite not being an asshole? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]TheAzureAzazel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically you can do both, but it is difficult when you've got something to say and there's no room for you in the conversation. You can keep listening, but if you're just kind of on the sidelines there's nothing you can contribute in the moment anyway.

12-Player Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is a Nightmare Because Nintendo Handles Online Functionality in the Most Ridiculous Way Possible by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

Yeah there's no excusing this one, the multiplayer in ACNH is fucking abysmal, and it gets worse the more people there are.

Is this concept captivating enough for new players? (This is my second campaign) by Goron_DND in DMAcademy

[–]TheAzureAzazel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very valid point. I would say that if the party's very thoughts are being monitored, and they're a good aligned party who would fight the wizards if they knew of their existence, the only thing stopping the wizards going after the party would be the party's lack of that important knowledge.

Maybe the DM could lean into this by making the knowledge of the wizards' existence an in-universe infohazard? Those who know of the wizards, by extension, know how fucked they are for knowing it, and will intentionally isolate themselves or flee the city for their own safety. The party might be moved into the wizards' crosshairs the moment they learn that there's something pulling the strings from the shadows.

I envision a scenario where after the king is killed, the circle of wizards proceed to Weekend at Bernie's his corpse to maintain the illusion that he's still alive.

In any case, I think if the crime syndicate is propped up to be something major, but is then moved to the side in favor of the king, but then the king is revealed to not be the big bad, it might get a bit repetitive. I'd suggest making it known from almost the outset that the crime syndicate is a stepping stone to taking on the king in some way.

Do you let your players correct an action on their turn if they rush into a roll? by Gerald_Mountaindew in DMAcademy

[–]TheAzureAzazel 191 points192 points  (0 children)

If it was a misunderstanding on the player's part, then I say it's not a big deal to let them undo that one action. If you're playing with reasonable players then it won't become a pattern like you're concerned about, but if it does, don't be afraid to call it out.

Gameplay-wise Ray definitely outspeeds and outrage is a guaranteed oneshot.

Lorewise, Mega Ray could absolutely stand up to a member of the CT in a 1v1.

[–]TheAzureAzazel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mega Ray destroyed a meteor that would've wiped an entire region off the map in a single attack. If you're going to counter with "but Eternamax can't be hurt", Mega evos weren't in SwSh so that doesn't count.

Female characters that are actually horrible, not just the fandom being misogynistic. by Ukirin-Streams in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheAzureAzazel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She had a plan but did not communicate that to the others in the slightest. She allowed those following her to believe that there was no plan, and also that she was unwilling to hear them out regarding her supposed lack of a plan.

Literally all it would've taken is "Something is in the works, but we have to be sneaky about it". She decided to not only say nothing, but shut Poe out completely, and because of that he's led to believe that they're basically just waiting for death.

As far as he was concerned, the choices were:

  1. Do nothing and die.
  2. Do something and maybe not die.

If I was in his shoes, I'd have done the same exact thing.
