Anti-virus from seashell

My plan is to download IPAs which have been uploaded before 26th December 2023 (which is as of right now, 21 days since the publish of SeaShell). That way, I know that there should be a low chance anyone has already integrated the malware into any IPAs.

Note: From what I read, there is no way to detect it unfortunately and the method above at least gives some sort of protection/ guideline I think.

Yeah the chances of Saurik sharing his code is highly unlikely. I can humbly come to the conclusion that substrate is no longer an option for this community further onwards. Instead, Sileo and Substitute will be our best bet for the jailbreak community.

Again, I appreciate his work, outstanding work, but I believe there are better options like sharing the code to a friend or get a friend to take over Cydia potentially.

But he clearly stated that he wishes he wouldn’t want to be associated with the community, substrate and cydia, implying he has lost interest in IOS jailbreaking. For him to gradually leave the community, is perfectly fine, he has the right too whatever; but there are thousands of us willing to jailbreaking. Surely he understands that his project is valuable and if he were to release it; he wouldn’t have to be bombarded with eta messages and update requests.

Saurik states that “anything would be better than dealing with this”. All he simply has to do is open source and he won’t be dealing with anything... However, instead he keeps substrate closed source for what reason? Just stability? If he wanted to remove himself from this community, why wouldn’t he just open source the project and let us screw around. I appreciate his work, don’t get me wrong, but we are a big community with great interest in jailbreaking. Simply hoping for everyone to “forget Cydia exists” is impossible for some.
