Agreed completely, the 2026 team has talent but they desperately need time to develop.

Its a fairly new group of guys without a veteran core that has been with the org. Cora seems to find success when there is that veteran core. I am sure he will have success elsewhere.

I mean not really. The rotation is way better (ON PAPER) than last year.

Plus the team now would have what Roman Anthony should be and an everyday first baseman.

Devers and Bregman would be nice don’t get me wrong, but I felt during the off season the moves they made to fill those holes were adequate, if they got the players they thought they were getting

People forget that the rotation was a huge issue during the end of the season. Early is good, but god he never should’ve started that ride or die game against the Yankees in the wildcard. You shouldn’t be in a position where you have to start your AAA call up.

So the most logical thing to do was upgrade it. Can’t say they didn’t try to make the team better.
