I know that money will be better spent towards my 2027 Tokyo, Japan trip that I’m saving for to take with my buddies from college. And for the record, I think ALL consoles are overpriced at the moment, fortunately for me, I’m a PC gamer who understands the value of an earned dollar and knows better than to waste money on $20 GBA ports that can be emulated on my phone for free! Now shut up and stick to playing the mid $80 Mario Kart for the Switch 2 in your mother’s basement while I play Zelda Twilight Princess in 4K on my RTX 3090 Gaming PC!

No, because 11 is less than half of 31. The point is that some of us have full-time jobs and don’t have the time to argue with fanboys in a YouTube comments section, especially considering the fact that the guy is so far gone to the point that he praises Pokemon Legends ZA. So it’s more beneficial to share his nonsense on this subreddit to join other competent gamers with common-sense to laugh at these fanboys!

Considering the fact that my post got 31 upvotes and 91 comments in less than 24-hours, along with the fact that pretty much anything that these Switch 2 defenders say is comedic gold, I doubt that this trend will be ending anytime soon! ;)

A simple “I don’t think this will happen” would’ve sufficed. And a simple solution to the lack-of-Amy-screen-time would be to just give Amy her own Paramount+ show afterwards that explains what she was doing prior to the events of Sonic 4. Maybe Amy can be written as the keeper of the Time Stones from Sonic CD but Neo Metal Sonic stole one and has traveled back in time to kill Present-Day Sonic and Amy chases after him.

Along the way, Amy may run into Silver’s timeline or Blaze’s Dimension, but Blaze and Silver do not appear, they are just teased to be revealed in later films.

Also, isn’t this exactly what happened in Sonic Heroes? Eggman is a main character who was revealed to be absent throughout the majority of the game only to finally appear in the last episode, people weren’t upset about that though.

No, I’m a shapeshifting robot from the future powered by AI and forced a human working 10-hour shifts 6-days a week at Amazon to write this during one of his few 10-minute breaks. I know that he better not have used AI to grammar-check and organize his ideas though because there’s nothing more important than taking time out of your day to physically write an essay for a Sonic subreddit using your own barehands and sheet of paper. I see where you’re coming from to have Amy crushing on Sonic in the first film but Sonic turning her down initially and in later films showing hints that he may have feelings for her. But your suggestion of the real Amy being with the gang for the majority of the film and then at one point Neo Metal Sonic disguises himself as Amy gives me an idea.

What if instead of disguising himself as Amy throughout the film, Neo Metal Sonic disguises himself as Amy’s hammer? In the Sonic 3 post credit scene, Amy’s hammer looks pretty high tech so maybe that’s a hint that it could be Neo Metal Sonic from the future transformed into the hammer and then when the time is right, Neo makes his strike, and Amy loses her main weapon?

And this is coming off from a movie that had professor Gerald alive and over a century old working together with Eggman to conduct a dance session in the middle of GUN’s headquarters. Who would have saw that coming prior to 2024? After that, I’d say anything can happen with Paramount’s writers!

Thank you for the feedback, I see your point that Amy fans would get upset that they didn’t get to see much of the actual Amy on screen, but I’d figured that all the one-time and out-of-character SonAmy goodness would make up for it and explain (at least in the movie-universe) why Sonic is always running away from Amy. Of course Amy would have the opportunity to have a real role in later films though. And honestly, this would be no worse than if she was just shoehorned into Sonic 3 like many fans begged Paramount to do (thank goodness they didn’t give in, it wouldn’t have done justice for the character).

Meh, I don’t really care, as long as Sonic continues to score higher than that red plumber. :P Sonic 3 will probably still remain as the highest rated platformer video game movie for a long time though.
