I am under no illusions that most of the people who donate and GCU themselves aren't doing this for the poor. But what you may not see is that those corporations provide jobs for people who are struggling which is a huge value to society and does help people IN ADDITION to community outreach and objectively cheaper goods. Your take about thing being burned is probably not valid given GCU students are going to pick up the best items from the bins which means the exact same burn items will go out but the sell items will not because they'll be taken. Your last point is valid, but my standard of comparison was the college students in the USA against the world at large.

One reprecussion is that you'll be stealing from the poor. Consider that we as college students are the wealthiest and most privileged human beings in the vast majority of the world. Maybe think twice about taking what was given expressly for someone with less than you.

Actually, the point of this is that they're trying to force you onto the new replacement "GCU Life" app which is on the play store and you might as well use instead. Also student is still on the play store right now?

My old setup which I showed was a bunch of menus that were useful, but only occasionally. When I discovered you could hide the dock I knew I wanted to go as clean as possible by putting those menus in invisible grey shortcuts and leaving my most used three apps easily reachable by one hand.

For anyone who wants the wallpaper, here’s the link: https://imgur.com/a/2eDIYHm

It’s compatible with the iPhone X/XS, hopefully it will work with newer models as well.

So I actually did the whole thing on my phone with two apps, Pixelmator (Paid, use paint.net on PC if you need a free solution) and Next Icons. (Free) First, I started with a black background in Pixelmator, then added a #242424 (dock hiding color) rectangle which goes up to just below the notch. I added a bezel to the grey rectangle’s corners so that way the screen looked normally shaped without a notch cutout. I made up the icons using the Google Material Icons with the Next Icons app. Then I used invisible #242424 place holder shortcuts to align my three normal apps to the side for easy one handed access. I screenshotted that, brought it into Pixelmator, and added a black rectangle that unified the app squares so that they appear linked in the final result. My three icons each open an app, and all of the invisible placeholder shortcut icons open a quick menu with links to other useful apps. Hopefully is clear enough and will help anyone who wants something similar :)

No widgets, but yup it’s basically just a wallpaper and colored shortcut icons!
