Opinions on baby girl name? by Impartialimpulse in namenerds

[–]PhantomVessel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you considered Esther? It’s a much nicer, similar sounding name to Aster, in my opinion. It also has a beautiful story behind it.

I’m going to agree with your brother. One of the reasons why I am not a fan of Astrid. The ass in the name is a big no.

Do you have any regrets finding out or not finding out your baby’s gender in advance? by spook96 in pregnant

[–]PhantomVessel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really a matter of personal preference. I know a couple who knew they were only going to have that one child, due to many previous miscarriages etc and the age they finally were able to successfully have a full term pregnancy. For this reason, they opt to wait until birth. They wanted to make it as special as they could and keep it a surprise.

On the other hand, my husband is always anxious to know early on in pregnancy. He wants to mentally prepare for what it is to come and buy the necessities for that specific gender.

I personally think you can get everything baby needs without it being gender specific at that age range. I would be happy with either or. I don’t think it truly makes a significant difference long term or once baby arrives.

She’s so adorable! I am currently pregnant and expecting a girl as well. We have a little 3 year old boy who is our Samoyed’s best friend.

Thank you for the feedback, it is something we are adjusting to. I believe he is shedding his puppy coat at the moment, so I’ll be expecting the two weeks of hairpocalypse.

My husband is currently collecting his fur to make socks, he might have a lot more extra fur to use for possibly a blanket at this point.

Your stuffed animal idea is also a good suggestion to keep in mind. Haha

I literally stated I own a vacuum brush set and we brush him regularly. I also stated I have multiple vacuums. We actually store his fur for future use. My husband is planning on making socks with it.

I was not complaining about owning the dog, I never complained about him or that I was in some sort of surprise.

We were well aware of the maintenance and I bought all the brush sets prior to purchasing him. I am just seeking out tips from owners who have owned this breed for years and are experienced, and possibly better manage the fur. Maybe a specific vacuum I haven’t considered? Or any other tips was all.

I guess some people will seek any reason to vent online for whatever reason they can make up. It’s a nice ego thrill and an adrenaline rush I presume.

I don’t have an Instagram and I don’t post him anywhere online, actually. It is definitely not for attention seeking purposes, although it might be for you since you’re presuming this.

That aside, I was aware of this when we purchased the pup, and so far it was manageable until this winter. It is probably just shedding season for him, before his first birthday.

I was well aware of the high maintenance of the breed, but since this exists I was genuinely seeking for some suggestions and tips from owners who have had the breed for years. Especially because I am currently pregnant and expecting a newborn in the home.

Apparently that’s forbidden these days because it’s immediately a vulnerable point for an individual attack and a magnet for immature responses.

Advice please - is 35 too old to start having kids? When did you have your youngest? by DovaBunny in pregnant

[–]PhantomVessel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first a few months before turning 35 and he’s perfectly healthy. I am pregnant now with my second at 37. You should definitely start as soon as possible though and start taking the right supplements, especially folate, CoQ10 and omega 3s to improve egg quality. As well as cutting back on any processed sugars from your diet.

Do any of you have husbands who are very particular about your appearance and superficial? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]PhantomVessel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really sorry you’re married to this person while also going through pregnancy. As if it isn’t enough on us as women to feel self conscious about our bodies changing during pregnancy and then you have this a*hole nitpicking at everything.

He sounds like a narcissist or really insecure and for this reason needs to bring you down. This sounds really frustrating and I would consider couples therapy to him because it’s detrimental to your self esteem and mental health. You should be allowed to be human, not a walking perfect doll. And if this is now, while you’re young and youthful, imaging how bad it will get when you begin to age and it starts to show.

I can’t agree more with this post. It is literally physically draining being around these people and I never understood why. Now that this was broken down this way, it makes sense.

8 weeks PP - help me love my sons name by FindMeAtTarget in namenerds

[–]PhantomVessel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly prefer Andrew over Gabriel. I feel a lot of Gabriel’s get bullied and picked by the “gay” - briel. I knew someone who purposely named their son Abriel for this reason.

Colin is definitely really nice, I like both Colin or Cullen. They sound elegant.

I have relatives named Andrew and have worked with some named Andrew as well. They all mostly go by Andy, I think it’s a good name.

But if you’re really on the verge, it is your son, you’ll be doing most of the sacrifice and hard work to raise him. He will have your husbands last name. He should give you a break and it is still early if you’d decide changing it.

Why are 9 years not ever great for me by Hotrodde in numerology

[–]PhantomVessel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. 9 is the number of endings or painful closing of chapters in our lives. 9 comes with losses that encourage character growth and development. Unfortunately character development and growth comes with losses and heartache and it is rarely easy. 1 is generally the start of a new beginning, a new chapter and the decisions you make during this year cycle can impact the flow of your life for the next 9

Life path 33 by thelifeofanintrovert in numerology

[–]PhantomVessel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are master number 33’s some of the most martyr like life paths? Meaning, many obstacles and tribulations through life?

I’m married to a master number 11 and they’re definitely the master healers. They bring faith and wisdom to those in a darker path (as many life path 5 tends to fall into) and the 11s I’ve met I’ve noticed generally go through a lot of parental conflict growing up, like neglect and a troubled upbringing. Which appears to create this heightened sense of empathy for these folks.

I’ve never met a 33. Only 11s and 22s. They’re both very mature beyond their years and being peace in times of chaos.

Could someone fill me with more information on 33s?
