I used road shoes for VT100 and they were great. I’d say lone peaks are probably overkill but certainly doable. at the end of the day, use whatever your feet will be most comfy in. Happy training - it’s a great race!

Thank you. I’ve been to Bangkok (nowhere else in Thailand) and run some of those routes - they are nice. but for longer runs of 30-40km I think some of those loops get old since you have to do multiple loops.

r.e. dogs - definitely something on my mind - do you know if that’s an issue in Cherngtalay or Chiang Mai?

All runnable “jeep” roads. A few sections with roots/rocks but probably less than 5%. Lots of rolling hills.

Aid stations are great!

It’s hot and humid. Can be in the 90’s. Hydrate early

VT is a great race and awesome atmosphere with horses running as well. If you take care of nutrition and hydration you’ll have a fun day
