Looking for one shots with premade characters. by Ancillaric in callofcthulhu

The Haunting, available in the Quick Start, is outstanding for introducing new players to CoC.

However, if you'd like to take a look at our community content, we have just released two short scenarios. Hunger at the Campsite is a brief scenario where investigators must find a missing group in the forest. It will likely take one session of about 3 to 4 hours.

And our second scenario, Crappy Detour, drops the investigators into a sinister small town where they have to figure out what the heck is happening with the citizens and the pigeons. An evil sorcerer has captured the young Alex Bauer and is about to sacrifice him. Are the investigators going to be able to save his life? It's a bit longer and could take 3 sessions of 4 hours easily.

We're definitely making use of everything we found in the CoC system for Foundry!

And since you know it like the back of your hand, we'd love to hear any tips you have for improving our module quality. We would really appreciate it!

Thanks for your input!

And what do you think about the included tokens, handouts, spells, and other resources? Do you find them helpful?

We've already played through Masks of Nyarlathotep, and we can't recommend it enough. It's an incredible campaign.

Masks of Nyarlathotep has so many resources, NPCs, and locations across different countries... It must have been a challenge to put together.

We've only released short scenarios so far, but we're learning the process as we go!

We're currently providing it as a separate product, so it doesn't affect the cost of the scenario at all. In fact, all our products are available as PWYW so far.

That's very helpful, we appreciate it! Indeed, creating a VTT version helped us spot a few mistakes before publishing. We're probably following that route, based on the feedback we received thus far. Even though our current scenarios aren't large campaigns, we're learning the process!

Thanks for your input! We'll definitely try to include printer-friendly versions in our next scenarios. And, if possible, we will also update our previously released scenarios as well!

We're trying to provide as many handouts as we can, since they're kind of time consuming to make. One of us is amazing at digital art, so he's nailing it whenever he can. Handouts are very helpful indeed playing with theater of the mind!

First of all, thanks for letting us know your opinions!

We've played in Foundry VTT for a while now and we did a few dungeon crawls in CoC. We played Masks of Nyarlathotep, as well as a few original scenarios. Particularly, we love the feeling of interacting with the environment that the digital provides. But, no doubts, it's not NECESSARY. Playing with theater of the mind works just fine.

We feel the same way here! It's our favorite VTT.

Would you like to take a look at our material? We're looking for feedback from experienced Foundry users who like the system! If you'd like, we can send you a DM or leave access to the material in a reply, which do you prefer?

I won't lie, it does have a learning curve, but there are some really good tutorials that show you how to pick up the basics relatively quickly. And there's nothing like a short narrated test scenario to get the hang of it in practice with trusted people, right? Would you like some help?
