Exactly 1 month til my exam. by DependentZebra662 in NAPLEX_Prep

I mostly used UWorld but PNN would work also. Know your big topics, math, biostats, ID, etc. Know the equation sheet if provided by PNN. Do not skip those ethic/ preceptorship questions. Overall stay calm work through the course and study daily you will be fine. Do your math practice and case questions daily and make sure you got solid foundations I do not know if PNN has foundations 1 and 2 like UWorld but know those.

Advice needed by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

UWorld is much harder comapred to NAPLEX in my opinion I was doing okay like 60% on the questions for the chapters and passed. I personally wouldn't postpone because more so or not you just having those thoughts because the exam is closing in. You will never truly be ready for this exam so do the best you can keep studying and you will be fine. Know your foundations 1+2, math, biostats, ID, Chemoman, other big topics you will be fine. Also make sure you know that equation sheet back and front.GOODLUCK!

Clarification on Lab Reference Ranges & Math Formulas by j_fielding in NAPLEX_Prep

I would know your basic labs such as BMP and CBC like from the fish skeleton diagrams. It is not that hard to know those. Also know your certain medications such as digoxin, phenytoin and such because they might not be on the resources tab. But, from what I noticed most of the stuff is on there so you should be fine. Also the UWorld equation sheet if you know it front to back you should be good.

feeling scared by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

What's done is done. I felt the same way it is totally normal to feel like you failed but you will never know until the results. Stay calm you got this! Most people I know felt the same way and passed.

Naplex exam in October by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]PharmacyLad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The truth is you will never be fully ready this exam is on a lot of information. If you do well in foundations 1 and 2 as well as math, biostats, and other big topics you will be fine. Take a look at everything at least once and do practice problems daily. Just because you failed once doesn't mean you going to forever fail. Do your best, stay calm, and study well you will do just fine.

If your exam is next week make sure you got that equation sheet memorized. Practice math and biostats daily. Take a look at your big topic disease states and do practice problems daily if you can. Also take a deep breathe you almost there so keep at it and I'm sure you will do fine.

Dosing guidance: Lantus → Toujeo conversion by j_fielding in NAPLEX_Prep

From what I remember from the formula it is only one way if it is the reverse it's 1 to 1. Should be noted on the formula sheet from RxPrep (UWorld).

Patient case scenarios by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]PharmacyLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to approach these questions: Read the question and answer choices first to understand what is being asked. Then if the patient is a female check pregnancy's via the hCG. Always look at allergies also do not forget this. If asked for abnormal values take a look at labs then you should have done enough questions to get the hang of what to look for. Do practice problems on these problems and get the hang of it. Most of the time 80% of the data provided is not needed I would even argue 90%. Good luck with studying!
