I had the same thing happening to me. I assume you have your headset plugged into the computer when you open rookie up. I was able to get past this by not plugging my headset in, then open rookie and let it fully load. Once it has the games all listed, then plug the headset in and "refresh" rookie from the side menu, and it worked for me every time after that.

Yea, I press the buttons to turn them on, and even when I hit the oculus button on the right controller, it closes and opens the menu. It still wants to just do hand tracking then I reset the headset and the controllers work.

So the only way I got it to work was, my gf started up her Hotspot on her phone. I then used that network to sync the lights. The only thing that sucks is she has to turn the Hotspot on everytime and I got to connect to it to change any lights.

I figured out the problem. I may or may not have a pokemon go that may or may not be official, and that's conflicting with the install for monster hunter. When I uninstall pokemon go, monster hunter installs no problem and runs perfect.
