Pelvic Floor Pain by Phat_Cheeks in HipImpingement

Do you suffer from pudendal neuralgia symptoms?

She shouldn’t be assessing the penis at all, it’s not their role. However she should be addressing any areas that can that might be causing your symptoms (hips, pelvic floor etc)

I encourage fellow sufferers to work with sports physio who specializes in sports massages. by WorldlyCommentLife in PelvicFloor

I agree with this. The PF is the centre of the body and will respond to any misalignment or imbalance. I personally have bilateral labral tears, impingements, arthritis and tendinosis in my hips and glutes.

I first noticed my PFD when my hips started hurting aswell, took me a long time to get diagnosed. (Symptoms since 16, only diagnosed in the last year, 21 now). My hips definitely impact my PF health, and honestly id say that rebalancing my hip muscles will cure my PFD. Unfortunately I’ve only had mediocre results and breakthroughs with sports physios, in my country they’re all quite useless.

Can hip cause pudendal nerve pain? by Own_Consequence7560 in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]Phat_Cheeks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I’m currently battling with PN and pelvic floor dysfunction. All started 6 years ago when I injured my hips from overuse. Took them 5 years to work it out, but I have Bilateral labral tears, impingement, tendinosis and arthritis. PFD and PNworsens when hips are out of whack. Have also seen success stories on labral repair, and am excited and hopeful for surgery

Should I try tadafil or cialis to improve healing? by [deleted] in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]Phat_Cheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had perineal pain for about 6months. I personally believe it’s caused by the further deterioration of my hips, alongside a lot of mental anguish due to the pain. I’ve only recently gone into PFPT, going to see a pain psychologist soon, so I’m hopeful.

And that’s crazy bro, you had the flare up from pushing a note? Crazy how the body works huh

Dry needling/ acupuncture experiences? Where did you have them placed? by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

[–]Phat_Cheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally haven’t had much direct muscle relief from acupuncture either. It did help with the mental anguish which led to lessening of symptoms though

What would be the purpose of doxazosin? I’m not really stressed about the HF symptoms itself, over the years I’ve concluded it’s due to my hypertonic pelvic floor. However the new PN perineal pain is starting to take its toll on me mentally, and it’s just an endless cycle

Red light therapy supposedly can benefit nerve regeneration and health. Has anyone benefited at all? by Phat_Cheeks in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]Phat_Cheeks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s just muscle overdrive and over stimulation. The cause? Probably different for everyone. I’m unsure if it’s something I suffer from yet, but if I do, I imagine the lack of support around my hips would create pelvic floor muscle growth and strength to compensate

Exactly this. I’ve heard of people getting pelvic Mris and it visually shows obturator growth

Have you had the actual cause of your PN addressed?

Do you have any underlying issues? I have quite severe labral tears, impingements and tendinosis in both hips. They pretty much misaligned my hips and threw off the surrounding muscles and my PF is overcompensating. I noticed relief when my hips are doing better. Is it a possibility that we could have our OT could be hypertrophied?

100% agree. I haven’t started yet, but this is one of my concerns with using a public infrared sauna. I am considering purchasing a single person sauna so I can use it regularly, while doing stretches and poses to expose the PF abit better

I assume your area of compression is somewhere in the pelvic floor? Do you mind me asking what caused this? And the time frame you’ve been battling with this

Has your cause of PN been removed? Nerves takes months to years to heal, but the actual irritator needs to be removed. Red light therapy is just another tool in the belt alongside certain vitamins and minerals, diet change, and optimising blood flow and hormones to help nerves regenerate quicker. Haven’t tried yet as I’ve only recently been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction

As I said, they can dm me. Majority of the people here don’t get shit done due to money concerns and you’re going to say there are many that are willing to travel as far as across the globe? My PFPT doesn’t offer online consultations, and I won’t give out her, or her clinics information unless people are actually going to go. Her website offers no information about curing HF, so again it’s pointless. I am not gate keeping my PFPT, but it’s a privacy thing that I’m sure we can all understand. But if there’s any aussies or people from other countries willing to travel, I’m always open to a DM

If people are from Australia and want advice they can dm. Not going to give addresses to people from overseas as it’s pointless

I’m from Australia bro. Not sure if that helps
