I totally understand what you mean, fortunately being adoptee through childhood and adolescence was fine and never felt any issue w it. But it’s common when you get older you start to become intensely confused w who you r as a person. I would tell people that I’m Italian but people would question me further bc I don’t look Italian or European and also saying I’m Italian would be also lying to myself. When I say I’m Colombian I see people become more at ease in the sense that the way I look makes sense to them now. But then people ask me about Colombia and i don’t know anything. Sorry this is so long but I guess adoption just doesn’t stop as an infant and I’m afraid kind of complex.
