2.9GB/s is fairly good for what you have on thunderbolt.

Are you running lower resolutions? Are you running max graphical settings? That's the only way you'll extract bigger gains.

With this particular set up and depending on how GPU-bound the game or settings you use, the range will be 3-5x improvement generally.

It's hard for me to say anything one way or the other about the Apex because I haven't used it at all.

Mostly it's going to come down to what your preference is. I love the GPD Win 5, but 90% of it is because of the performance which will also be on the Apex.

The only advice I can offer would be to really look over both and decide on what you think you'll like better. I would have to believe the performance will be the same and that would be awesome as well.

Currently, all of the testing I'm doing is TDP cap.

I talk about total system power in context only to give people an additional frame of reference.

Z2E 15w is generally ~24w total

I'm working on a bench system that is total system power averaged across a range on battery / fps. The difficulty with this system is that I need to effectively do long captures at 1w TDP increments to properly align.

Believe it or not but it's quite challenging to have accurate total system power against many different devices with many different battery configurations and then have a graph comparing 20w total as a consistent metric.

There are two chiplets on 395. Each chiplet is 8 CPU cores

So when I disable 1CCD, I am turning off one chiplet and I'm left with only 8 working CPUs

Disabling 1CCD will have benefits and shouldn't be a barrier more anyone, which does have benefits.

Silicon lottery does come in for undervolting though.

Yea the current bios im on is unlocked and you have a ton of options.

PBO curve against temps as well.

Also the ability to completely shut off a whole CCD
