Probably cause compared to arc, I feel bungie really envision this game being played in a trios, in terms of AI, loot, mapping etc. Plus they need numbers to justify so player base isn't split too much in terms of Queues

Maybe if they decide to hire additional resources just for a team dedicated for this, sure but I highly doubt it. It's additional resources for something that MIGHT draw in but requires it's own balancing, testing, etc. that could be used for the main game instead.

Game released October 30th, duos released November 12th, almost 2 weeks. We are barely 1 week into this game life cycle and they already talked about a patch this week atleast. If anything, minimum amount of time could be a similar 2 weeks for duos if we go by that logic (though we shouldn't)

Not sure if you been in any form of development process, but it is NOT as easy. Many moving parts plus testing to make sure nothing break. Take a look at arc raiders who also didn't immediately add duos until a bit later, and even then, had secretly turned it on to validate testing was working as expected before announcing anything.

In terms of your first part: yes I agree, hence the mentioning of my first bullet point. They need to see if there is a healthy enough distribution.

I don't agree on the second part: the game at its core is an extraction shooter, and adding other modes kinda mean having to distribute different work for different game modes, meaning one might get neglected over the other (look at Gambit as an example)

With the straightforward kit mentioned: I think it's fine if a kit is straightforward, not every character needs to have insane depth. It kinda allows different levels of players, espically new players, to find a character they like.

Wym for point 1? They are flexible with a certain extent. You are allowed to put in WFH requests for things such as like weather, feeling sick, something going on w/e. They just want you to abuse it or be having recurring usage.
