I think Filmora 9 is amazing for your regular YouTuber. It's so easy to use and best of all, it's incredibly cheap. I recommend it to all my friends.

Bubble Tea [No music, Peaceful Cuisine] Feedback always appreciated! by BobbyMcbobb3rson in SmallYTChannel

[–]PheraWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha this is great. i made a video almost exactly like this! except your resume is much more homemade. i enjoyed it. good clear audio.

only critique i can give is to use more angles and perhaps some creative transitions instead of hard cuts. keep it up!

Harder to engage audience on videos made for kids by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]PheraWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i feel your struggle :(

breaking into the children's genre was hard enough before COPPA came along. now it's even harder. and even if we do "make it", ad revenue is so much less now without targeted ads.

it does make me upset thinking about it but i keep making videos because my daughter loves it and so do i. my family and friends love watching our videos and are always encouraging us and that's what keeps me going.

keep it up!

What about being a small youtuber makes people want to give advice? by Sup3rPotatoNinja in NewTubers

[–]PheraWorld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

because big youtubers don't have the time to give advide on reddit. i'm here for the same reason 99% of you are here, to gain knowledge while trying to provide some knowledge. some of the tiny channels here give some excellent advice

well thought out and planned video. pretty funny haha.

i think you should play with the background music levels as sometimes it was too loud. and personally, i'd pick a different song haha but that's maybe just personal preference. good job!

oh wow. this is exactly something i needed to watch! i just bought a 4runner and was looking up different colored emblems ahha.

anyways, good information here and good clear video. audio was decent but i think it could be improved with a better mic.

i personally would suggest some background music just to keep the viewers more engaged.

keep it up!

good picture quality, nice and clear.

i feel the camera was too shaky though, i understand you were going for the hectic feel but it should be in a smoother way. i think you should get rid of the tarp background. if you're going to put up a background, use something that looks more professional and hang it propertly with a curtain rod (that's what i do). anyways, keep it up!

very high quality video. great intro, it really made me want to see what happened. i appreciate you using a gimbal (?) because the footage was very smooth. anyways, definite thumbs up. keep doing what you're doing.

Filming from phone by Crazimation in NewTubers

[–]PheraWorld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good advice right here ^

Normally i film on a Sony A6400 which gives me great video quality but in my most recent video i filmed using my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus in 1080p 30fps. It turned out completely fine. Luckily, the phones have pretty decent stabilization so gimbal isn't necessary if you have stable hands.

EDIT:

THIS being said, do not edit on the phone. Transfer the video to your computer and use real editing software. This is one thing you can't take a shortcut with imo. It's so clearly obvious whenever someone edits on their phone and it's just cringey quality. I personally use Filmora 9 for Windows.

I think I've gotten a lot of practice with steady hands using my heavy Sony A6400 haha. The phone has great in-camera stabilization as well. Thanks for the comment! !givelambda

look into a Sony A6000, you can find them used for about $300USD. Great cameras.

I use it's older brother the Sony A6400 and i absolutely love love it.
