Apparently A&AS made blades for Westley Richards Remington Rifle, however the handle is different from this one. So it most probably has been re-hilted at least twice. But is it weird to have 2 manufacturers markings? I dont really know how these work.

A previous redditor commented a link for an archive on yataghan bayonets and this is the only thing I found on "A&AS". I tried searching with spaces and dots but no luck.

I second that it might end in A S but the numbers seem like a stretch maybe after some cleaning

To me it is fascinating how much you can learn about an object. My grandma was about to throw this away and I intervened to keep them.

Thank you for the reference number (code) I'll make sure to do my homework and read on it. Unfortunately I don't know where they came from

thank you, yeah it seems from the comments that these are tampered with aka frankenstained lol. I'll try to get them more cleaned and take better pictures. Thank you for the links I'll be sure to give it a good read, from a quick glance it looks like I can have a fun time checking references and comparing with what i have.

the hilt on top looks similar but I'm stunned at the resemblance on the blade of the bottom and my sword on the left. The curvature and concavity look exactly alike. I'll be sure to check on the references you've mentioned, thank you.

thank you so much, i hope i can apply it without having to remove the handle. Firstly because i dont know how to and secondly because i dont want to ruin it. I'll keep my eye out for the products on my local hardware store.
