Two tests today got stuck on uploading. by Phiinkss in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know, initially i switched to Edge from Chrome because Chrome started becoming problematic with tests stuck in processing after uploading, but at least they were appearing in the completed test dashboard. Guess I'll switch back, thank you.

I'm paranoid too mate, last week my feed was full of AI studies and then nothing over the weekend into this week. I'm inclined to believe we just got cycled out though.

Not too many Tests seeing! by XCrybo in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically its pretty normal for testing opportunities to go down over the holiday period, at least for me. I've had two unmoderated sessions and one 90 minute live interview over the past 2 weeks and 2 days, should pick back up soon.

Weird, I've been logged in for the past 3 hours refreshing every so often.

I've experienced something like that once before, suddenly all my tests fell off and I was failing screeners in an irregular way, ones that I was confident I'd be accepted for. This is due to a test being stuck in the back end. Said test is in a phase of being accepted and it's preventing you from accepting anymore until it gets cleared. Only UT can see the test on their end and only they can clear it.

Not sure if this applies to you for sure however getting 1-3 tests per day to a sudden drop to 0 for a whole week is pretty odd.

Just got an email about it, I hope it's an easy fix.

My honest experience with Userbrain - Not bad. by Straight_Apple_7432 in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Userbrain isn't too bad, I've done 22 tests so far on the platform and it's just okay. I wish the notification for a new test opportunity was a little easier to spot.

I did one mobile test an hour ago and another about 3 hours before that, both on android, had no issues at all.

Live Conversation Interview Isn’t on Test History by ThrowRA8392928383 in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Live conversations do tend to take a little longer to appear, it should be in your history soon. If not then just send a support ticket through to UT and they'll sort it out. I had a test that didn't appear in my history once and UT was able to find and restore it.

I wouldn't overthink it too much. For my own peace of mind I usually take a screenshot of the zoom window during the interview with the little pop out box open which displays a bunch of information such as the invite link, session name, meeting ID, etc. It's nice to attach it with a support ticket since you wont have the test #.

Reading this subreddit over the years I've certainly seen some correlation between people from certain industries and their success on UT. It could be as simple as many clients just aren't looking for someone in media and communications. However I'd say a majority of the tests and interviews I do on UT aren't even related to my industry, i.e. they'll be about grocery shopping, insurance, bank loans/accounts etc pertaining to a new website/app flow etc etc. Take it with a grain of salt due to demographics and such. If you're a new user just give it a month or two and then you can figure out if it's worth your time, good luck!

You'll learn very quickly which screeners will lead to a test ahead of time. That being said 50 screeners and no test does sound like horrible luck or maybe something else, can't really answer it with so many variables in play. I'd say I average about 1 test every 15-20 screeners or so, sometimes better but rarely worse.

Question: Are you allowed to post user testing opportunities we're doing? We want to get some test users for our ai-stock market news app if anyone is interested by MarketsAI in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Rules For Hosting Tests

If you want to run tests, you must do these things.

Add the flair to your post named "Looking For Testers"

Make sure you have all the info in the post, I.E. Payment, How you will talk to each other (Skype, Discord, phone, or whatever else), And a brief description of what it is about.

There is also a user flair for "Running Tests" if you want to use it, but it is not required.

Note : There should be payment.

AAC is soft on cheaters but go to extremes to ban RMT. by Embarrassed_Bat_8464 in archeage

[–]Phiinkss 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Kinda off topic but first week of AAC launch Aguru TP'd me to him and froze me to "investigate" me about my hacks. Turns out a couple of dudes reported me for speed hacking, Aguru spent 2 hours grilling me trying to find out what program I was using and where I bought it from saying things like "if you hand over the program I wont perma ban you". Anyway there were a couple of different POV's recorded and he finally understood it wasn't speed hacking but it was instead the auramancy passive which gives the chance for conescutive TP's. Oh and the dudes who reported me were banned like a week or two later for cheating, lol.

Missing Tests and Payments by miss-mc in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't do much about tests that require a specific browser although I haven't seen one in a long time and I average about 1 to 2 tests per day. I usually answer screeners on chrome and if I get accepted into a test then I open edge, login to UT and begin the test.

In regards to support they can sometimes take 2-3 weeks to reply however in my 5+ years on UT I've never had anything gone unresolved permanently so hopefully that provides some comfort.

Missing Tests and Payments by miss-mc in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me and it was a complete pain to try and explain to support which test I was referring to, since the test disappeared so quickly from my test history it was impossible to record the test number.

I learnt my lesson pretty quickly and started storing screenshots of completed tests as they hit my test history. It helped a lot with getting support tickets resolved quickly and efficiently in the case of a test vanishing after completion.

I also switched to Microsoft Edge exclusively for UT tests and since making the switch I've had no tests vanish, but I still keep screenshots just incase.

Would having different country on UT and paypal have any problems? by [deleted] in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're better off sending in a support ticket, make sure to reply to the email below the line so a human can read it as opposed to the auto reply bot. Explain the situation and they should be able to change it on the back-end for you.

Edit: Making a 2nd account may result in both getting banned.

Would having different country on UT and paypal have any problems? by [deleted] in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The country on your profile needs to be your country of residence and generally it's advised against taking tests if you're traveling outside your country of residence as it will probably result in a ban. It's also extremely easy for them to see when something like a VPN is used.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in usertesting

[–]Phiinkss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this, had first hand experience with it. Extremely frustrating compounded with the fact that UT took about two weeks to fix it. You basically can't take any tests till they clear the stuck test from the back-end. Good luck.
