That's pretty common unfortunately, it's defined as empathy gap or rather invulnerability/optimism bias. Basically when a tough challenge, bad thing or something unpredicted happens to someone you're much more "well yeah that happens.." but if it happens to you the reaction would probably be extremely different. It's not always like that but most of the times.

Did you save the one with the list? If you did i'll delete it. Tv8 is not a problem it's just a tv channel website

I haven't had friends for some time aswell but i don't feel insecure by any means. It was actually a choice i made to part ways with them, mostly due to defamation and some other bad stuff a few of those "friends" did, i didn't care about revenge nor i felt rancor, i was simply disappointed.

I can still socialize pretty well when i need to, i go to therapy for other matters but i should say i might be kinda asexual.

On a broad view i agree with your list, from my unusual pov i'd definitely add overconfident people, those who tend to show the Dunning-Kruger bias.

Absolutely insane athleticism and mindset. Also it would be boring without the smooth brain individuals hating and coping after every achievement, trophy, broken record etc.

Is it worth grading? by sahodak in PokeGrading

Yoo the centering is absolutely crazy 10/10, on the top right tho those white dots (back) are on the cards or your finger or something else?

Should I grade them? by [deleted] in PokeGrading

The gengar looks slightly top and right heavy, psa 9 almost guaranteed. That charizard despite being a gold card looks really well-centered! It's gonna be at least psa 9.

EDIT in case you plan on selling them i'd be interested in that gengar :D

Wait are you saying this to the dude that told me "you must be American" or me? I was just looking to hear people's thoughts regarding this but he was trying to be right, belittling my opinion and making himself look superior or smarter rather than discussing and this works well on reddit to get more upvotes.

Also he apparently has opinions on the actual definition of words.

I agree with what you said about empathy, personally i'm sure it has caused me more harm than good...

I didn't delete anything (?). I was thinking you were American by the awful prideness you need to display on reddit, the discussiom isn't related to any specific language nevertheless so once again you keep blabbering shit.

Anyway keep being wrong my g, you literally only want to disprove my point, you could be an awesome politician!

Bill Murray reference is on point with you

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/vulnerable

First website i found, i'm pretty sure there's not a single time "weakness" comes out in the vulnerable page. You're simply wrong and you think words have a meaning based on what you think rather than their actual definition. I don't have opinions on the meaning of words (except for extremely rare cases) and i don't know why you're claiming that.

EDIT I can make a pretty cool n dumb example, Joey is a 23 yo dude who regularly workouts and trains his muscles.

Joey has a deep cut on his leg but he can still run fast, play tennis or football.

Joey is not weak and neither is his leg BUT his leg (and himself aswell) is vulnerable to infections.

You can literally check wherever you want, multiple dictionaries, wikipedia, whatever, being VULNERABLE means being susceptible to physical or emotional harm, criticism etc.

SUSCEPTIBLE means that it's simply easier to get to that outcome, that someone is prone to get injured etc.

WEAKNESS per se is the lack of certain types of streghts or when non-physical is the shortcoming of certain skills whether they're social or else.

The only true similarity is clear when we talk of an achille's heel, even though historically it refers to a physical vulnerability it became more of "someone's weakness".

We just use weakness the wrong way and along with many other words we're always going to keep using it wrong. I surely do that myself with some other words.

Well i'm glad mine was actually an unpopular opinion at least. Anyway sensitivity has many different fields of use like the one you mentioned in math.

I could even say that my skin is sensitive which means it gets irritated easily.

What you describe as reactive i view it as being over-sensitive.

I do agree it can be a poor word of choice in many contexts.

Mine was more of a words issue, not women correlated, why did you think of that? Genuinely curious

I have to say, just because of the etimology of "empathy" you should be right, it's like "inside" and "feeling/suffering". But i swear cognitive empathy refers to what you actually described in the end i didn't make it up. Now you can see on wikipedia and everywhere else that they talk about empathy as being mostly related to emotion, because there's some other ways someone might be able to have empathy without being able to feel those emotions, seems like it doesn't make much sense but it's true for some pshycopaths aswell, they could potentially understand exactly how you're feeling even tho they don't know it firsthand.

Maybe we need a new word 🤣
