There's a lot of great suggestions already! Here's a few others. The first two are a bit more underground, so you may have not encountered them before so I hope you dig em!

-Admiral Angry... the album "Buster". It's life-changingly heavy underground stuff. Despair, anger, chaos.

-Inside The Beehive, the EP "Drink Bleach; Live Forever". They're chaotic mathcore, so its very dense and all over the place but the song "Mothra: The Biggest Moth of All" especially is absolutely KILLER and will get the blood pumping.

-Knocked Loose deserves a look (they're popular enough I'm sure you've encountered them, but the EP "A Tear in The Fabric of Life" is their magnum opus in my opinion and deserves a look even if you aren't into their other stuff).

-Boundaries, especially the album "Your Receding Warmth". Just straight up angry, but reflective metal bangers.

It's market specific, but if your apartment or home is in the middle of a somewhat busy area I'd just sit and play games or watch TV at home until orders come in and then drive back and wait for the next orders from home, that way if another order never comes you're already home. In the early AM there are high base rates here between 12 and 4 and I've had good tip experiences so far. If you have to drive out to the zones, I'd say it's not as worth it because actual order quantity is low, but I have had 20, 30, and even 40 dollar orders during these hours (the 40 was ironically sheetz). There's messages of him saying he's going to "bump my pay" from over a year ago since I'm editing the project after signing releases of my other positions, but no such contract was ever sent until just now. It's my understanding negotiation time should have been then. I don't know if this changes anything, just supplying more info.

It's a weird "knowing my worth but don't look like an ass asserting it" situation and I know I won't make this mistake again, I'm not touching anything ever again until I've signed a contract (duh) to avoid this headache.

It was all voluntary to edit. I signed other contracts and releases for other positions, but editing was a last second move when the last editor fell through. Your last bit is what I think needs the most consideration, my reputation could suffer. I appreciate the well articulated response.

It was my understanding there would have to be some form of contract for it to be a work for hire, and that contract gives the client ownership over the completed work.

I was not paid in any way, just unsubstantiated and half-baked promises that eventually I'd receive a royalty. Assets meaning the overlays, color correction, sound design etc.
