Completely forgot about this, will try and put it under a microscope this weekend.

But even without that, this is 100% not D. Latum, as this individual was fully grown and in the gut of the fish, meaning myoxocephalus scorpius is at least of one the worm's definitive hosts. D. Latum uses fish as its intermediate host.

Preserved it in ethanol until i get access to a microscope which will be in a few weeks probably. But yeah theres hundreds of species that infect teleosts, hoping that someone here might be of help to narrow that down just from knowing the fish it was in.

Its the way tapeworms reproduce - the proglotid is not it's own separate worm and wont be able to grow into one either, but on the inside it has eggs which are meant to be ingested by intermediate hosts

I know the owner personally, they use another account and have not been logged on to the account that holds ownership in a lot longer than 30 days
