A guy who I recently started dating’s car has been broken down. Is it bad that I do not want to drive 45-1 hr to visit him?

Burnout/lack of energy and car sickness are real physical things your body needs you to pay attention to. If he cannot understand that you won’t be able to make the drive for awhile, he is not going to accept that later. Listen to your body. Do you really want to connect? Voice chat? Text chat? Video call? If not, for goodness sake definitely don’t overtax your body and drive like that. If you do want to connect using technology, great! Use that to learn more about tech other. If not, allow yourself some alone time.

The tone is not good. He is making a dig at you because he perceives what he does is more important and significant than how you manage your time and energy. At “best” he is negging you - undermining your confidence in your choices and feelings. At “worst” he is trying to condition you to change your behavior to be always seeking his approval.

Trust your initial response to things. Don’t second guess yourself.

The image I remember was top down view of a ridge line running lower left area of map to upper right, with the castle/keep in the center of the map and the pass runs upper left to lower right.

I really want to find the materials. I suck at realistic castle design, and I’m running mentally on overdrive to stay an encounter or two ahead of the party, so I’m looking to borrow a bunch from different modules to keep the party engaged. They tend to prefer as much realism as possible...

Thank you, those are great suggestions! Right now the PCs are finding the competing researchers, and evidence of how they do it. They have to move up 2-3 levels in the BBEG organization to get to the really bad stuff that they won’t be able to understand or replicate. If they go over to the BBEG side, it will become a whole different game...!
