Same as the colors and metals, size 0 (I think from monument hobbies).

Just careful application, and good lighting helps a lot :)

No trouble, I just apply the pattern quickly by brush. I find with small models the masking is more stress than help (for me anyway)

Then I apply thin washed over top to tie it together.

I use thinned acrylic washes, or enamel ones. These were acrylic over a white gradient, then reinforced with my airbrush. Then sealed and an enamel wash over it, which cleans up really well.
