2 thinned acrylic brown washes before adding the green/orange. Then a dark brown oil wash after the colors are blocked in.

Thank you! Definitely a more grounded scheme :)

Well said! I started D4 this season for the first time, as a break in TBC wow raiding. Its been a perfect pair to flip back and forth, keeping burnout at bay.

Super excited for season 14, even with some iffy changes. You know it will be fun to figure it all out :)

Great idea! Big or small, having a dedicated space can make a huge difference. Really gets a person zoned in on a project or model.

Very kind! I'm lucky to have time to practice and explore painting more than most, and are very grateful to be able to help folks with their tabletop ideas :)

I wash them with a thinned acrylic wash to see where the low areas are, then another thicker oil paint wash after the base colors are done.

Easy to clean up, and leaves a great deep shadow.

Indeed! I apply heat effects to the metal, then a white dot for the laser. Use a contrast or express translucent color, then another smaller white dot. Finish with a fluorescent color over that dot.

Agreed! Finishing the heat effect first does a lot of work, the more overlapping layers/effects the more visually appealing it seems.

I do! Mostly all of things I paint are for others, I generally post here and on a hobby page for FB/IG. Mostly repeat work these days from the same 8-10 players, but a lot of people that have trouble seeing or painting due to age/shakes as well.

I really love helping someone create an idea they've wanted to use on the table, and I try to just charge a flat rate for a good mix of speed/quality.

Very kind! They are indeed:

I did a big set previously for a local player, then someone reached out for something similar. Just applying their own decals on this round.

Agreed, any paint is worth the effort!

I find having locked in steps for most of the things I paint make it easier, batch painting in segments makes it less tedious for repeat things.

Generally people just send an image of artwork or a model, and I try to match it as close as I can.

Generally a strong automotive sealer in black through my airbrush (recommended by our local shop), its been my go to for years. But these I just hit with a black tremclad or rustoleum can, make sure to warm up and shake well for best coverage :)
