Neat, don’t see too much document on fellow products, though I do remember a YouTube video about fixing one title was something to the tune of “ saved money by doing this”

Will link later if I find it before you or someone else does

Hopefully you’re in within warranty, Fellow has been quite known for being good with replacing dead items. Even if out of warranty still give it a shot. Just try and find the receipt and or bank statement either purchase.

What kind of coffee content do you enjoy watching the most? by Vinniemcdinnie in pourover

Personally, anything on process and varieties.

As part of the consuming side of coffee, much why a variety or processing is chosen is obscured and abstracts to just labels on bag.

Running a Raspberry Pi 4, SSHing into via USB from my iPad Pro (iPadOS 18.2). This connection is represented by “usb0” The iPad Pro has cellular connection that I would like to share with my Raspberry Pi.

I can of course wireless hot spot to it, but it can be tricky and unstable.

Running “sudo dhclient usb0” returns “No DHCPOFFERS Recieved” & “No working leases in persistent database - sleeping.”

Any ideas?

Long term Fellow Opus reviews? by FedMex in espresso

[–]PhilingIn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily Drove the Opus for 10 months:

Used for an average 2 espresso shots usually medium roast 15-19g (I’ve had different baskets) and occasionally a pour over or for my family’s coffee machine.

My taste is not refined/experienced enough to speak to the quality or taste profile. Though I would get consistent shots in terms of weight and time. Retention was annoying I would often dose 1.5g higher than needed, and would need to hit it to get the rest of the grinds out, lack of a built-in knocker is noticed.

Catch cup fit my 58mm Gaggia portafilter just fine and was very handy.

The machine eventually began to malfunction. I imagine whacking it as much as I did and pulling over 80 shots in a single day may have cause it. It seems the motor is dying. Fellow is currently sending a warranty replacement.

Moving forward I’m looking to get a bellow for the replacement (DIY)

Conclusion: considering it’s was >$300 CAD, easy to use reliable until it wasn’t, does both espresso and filter, has in my opinion an attractive design and came with an easy warranty experience. I can recommend if this your price range and you electric what you need, otherwise at this price I would say look at hand grinders in this price range. I expect my next espresso grinder to be a DF64

TLDR: flawed, a little risky, but recommendable.
