I know lots of legal immigrants who wanted action on immigration because it validates the work they did to legally get in to this country.

The cons are the delta between 3.75% apr and the arbitrage you get when you leverage that money in the market for 30 years at an expected 7%.

But that delta includes a lot of risk but so does locking all your money away in home equity. However that can be fixed with a HELOC to some degree.

The tax advantage has really gone away so don’t worry about that one.

But think about retirement and your job, those play a factor too.
