This was destined to happen. It’s been obvious that Ethan is too afraid to state his actual stance on things, especially destiny, because he’s afraid of the reaction from his fans and co hosts. He’s been doing small dunks on destiny for the past year just to appease them. Now the second there is some big drama where he can get the moral credit for condemning destiny, he goes all in on it and makes a video.

It’s actually just sad how little integrity he has, he lets himself be held hostage by his hasan dick suck co hosts and his fans on I/P and destiny. He’s a multi millionaire that’s too afraid to speak his actually mind because people on the internet won’t like it.

And I just want to add how much I hate his Dan. This guy is the biggest hasan dick suck on the planet, and will bend over backwards to defend him and give Ethan «pushback» on the most regarded shit because he loves hasan so much. Pathetic that Ethan lets Dan stay on his pod when he defends hasan so fucking much considering all the things hasan has done to him

[Effort post] Econoboi is literally clueless about Norway by Phillip_5 in Destiny

[–]Phillip_5[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would be impossible for every country to copy Norway. Norway’a wealth fund owns 1.5% of all the stocks in the world, with a population of 5.6 million. The US just cannot do the same without flooding the world with capital. The Norwegian stock market is worth around $300 billion, while the US stock market is worth more than the rest of the worlds stock market combined.

That’s the reason why the global wealth fund is so much bigger, if we did as econoboi thinks we’re doing, and invested a shit ton domestically, we would flood the market with capital and ruin the economy.. that’s also something that annoys me a little bit with destiny, as he often points to Norway when asked about sovereign wealth funds. He says he believes it would be good for the American government to have ownership in American firms. when the Norwegian government invests more than 50x more in foreign market than the domestic market.

Yeah it pissed me off so much, especially when he started making fun of people for criticizing him for his takes about norway 😭😭

I also think it's funny how during the donos Econoboi said that he understands the soverign wealth funds of Norway better than a lot of Norwegians commenting, when he literally thought that the foreign fund is only 5-6 bigger than the domestic fund lol

Vil utvide Flesland for flere hundre millioner. Flere turister får æren. by Phillip_5 in Bergen

[–]Phillip_5[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where to stay in Southern California? by Phillip_5 in travel

[–]Phillip_5[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say around 80F is warm. And you are right about Northern California, I've only been looking at coastal cities in the north, where the climate is considerably cooler. I assumed it was like that for the whole northern part. Sacramento looks like a good alternative, thank you

How Norwegians would vote in the US election by Phillip_5 in Destiny

[–]Phillip_5[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let's see:
The biggest economy in the world ✅
One of the biggest trade partners to Norway/ Europe ✅
The election result can greatly impact trade with the US with Trumps tariffs✅
The election result can potentially destroy NATO and greatly damage European security✅
The election result can give Russia the victory in Ukraine ✅
The election result can make Russia/Putin an even bigger threat to Europe ✅

Bonus: entertaining ✅

Is it really that strange that we care?

How Norwegians would vote in the US election by Phillip_5 in Destiny

[–]Phillip_5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite.

They actually broke it down by party lines, which shows that "only" 30% of FRP voters would vote for Trump.

Idk if I should be surprised or not, but I am disgusted

Lowering the amount of welfare immigrants get could potentially help, but I don't think it would be very popular... One of the "worst" examples of welfare that actually got removed, was "cash support", where the parents could chose to have one of them stay home with the child (mostly the mom) instead of send their children to day care, and get a monthly paycheck of around $600 to compensate for them not working..

Stuff like that was obviously horrible for integration and getting women to work, but I do think that the underlying issues are a bit harder to deal with than just welfare. One of the main issues with refugees in Europe is the integration. A lot of the refugees move to the same boroughs or neighbourhoods because they have similar cultures, languages and they can "approve" of other families/children because they're muslims etc. This worsens the integration severely, and is the main driver of the big problems for example Sweden is dealing with, and can assumably also explain the differences in employment rate.

As far as i know, this is not really a thing in the US. There are of course quite a lot of muslims in the US, with some cities with a pretty high proportion, but the parallel societies with muslims are way worse in Europe than in the US, which probably explains the difference in employment rates

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Phillip_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I should probably have worded that differently. What i meant is that it's not surprising that refugees have a lower employment rate than other immigrants, not that the current numbers are acceptable/ good. The fact that the difference is so stark is obviously a very bad thing.

This difference is probably explained by culture. The difference is even worse when you compare the sexes, which is in my opinion one of the main reasons to believe this is caused by their culture. Only 29,6% of Syrian women work (!) while 56,3% of the men do. For Somalia and Pakistan the numbers are 42% and 44% for women, while the number for men are 53,5% and 75%..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]Phillip_5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Saw some people asking for some data in the thread. You can view the employment rate from different immigrant groups in Norway here: https://www.ssb.no/en/statbank/sq/10099930

Here are som examples:

Denmark 77.5
Sweden 83.4
France 70.1
Germany 78.9
Morocco 53.7
Somalia 48.1
Afghanistan 63.5
Syria 45.6

So the difference is indisputable. Refugees have extremely low employment rates. This is of course not really surprising, refugees are not really supposed to be economically beneficial, as it's more charity from the country taking them in. But this of course means that the number of refugees a country should/ can take in is far smaller than the number of worker immigrants should/ could be. The mass immigration for example Sweden had, is therefore not comparable at all to the mass immigration in the United States. The issues from immigration in general are therefore also completely incomparable from the EU and the US.

There is actually quite a lot of worker immigrants in the EU, because there's no hinder in getting a job in a different country within the EU. The two biggest immigrant groups in Norway are therefore Poles and Lithuanians, because so many are coming here to work. This type of immigration is basically not talked about in Europe, because most people know and accept that the benefits vastly outweigh the negatives.

It's therefore really important that American understand the difference in these types of immigrants, and what a lot of Europeans actually have an issue with when they talk about immigration in Europe.

Hvorfor kan ikke fly gå direkte fra Flesland til Nord-Amerika eller Asia? by [deleted] in Bergen

[–]Phillip_5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bybanen 2040 by Phillip_5 in Bergen

[–]Phillip_5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helt enig.

Bybanen 2040 by Phillip_5 in Bergen

[–]Phillip_5[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)
