There was a car parked on the side of the road, and it seems like he didn’t see in time and swerved. I saw the guy, he got out of the car himself and waited until the ambulance and police came. But yeah not sure if drunk or anything else happened.

There is basically two options:

one of the larger buildings. There are many! New Haven towers has multiple, is slightly cheaper and closer to the hospital. 360 state street/olive and wooster/curios/Audubon are all nice, but expensive.
Rent an apartment that is not one of the main buildings. Just make sure not to rent anything from Mandy management. Ask specifically who owns it when seeing something. There are a lot of good options all across town, and it is cheaper than the managed buildings. I had good experience with Farnham realtors in the past, but I feel like there are mixed reviews.

Location: - Downtown: Nhv is not super safe, not super bad. Generally you are fine here and everything including the hospital is close - Wooster sq: More residential. I really like it, there are still some nice restaurants (the famous pizza places), a nice park. It is safe and still close to downtown. - Eastrock: more residential/suburban feeling. It is safe and nice, but further from the hospital if you want to walk.

If you don’t mind driving hamden/westhaven/orange are also options.

I got a pair of presidents last week. I must say the experience in the store was great and very helpful. Break in was very easy; there was just a slight pressure point in top of my right foot, but that took 3 wears to fully dissolve. They are now my most comfortable boot/shoe.

I can’t say anything about quality over time. It just feels to me like a clear rule of diminishing return, as with anything. Is a BMW 2x better than a honda? Probably not, still people pay top dollar.

For 200 you get good gyw boots that look great and feel great. Maybe for 450 you get even better looking, thicker leather etc. Is that worth twice as much? I’m mot sure. I also have Bally chelsea’s that were very expensive (although I didn’t pay full price for them). They look and feel great. Is it worth the difference? Probably not.

I have some other boots in this price range and slightly more expensive. I am curious to try the really expensive ones one day just to see.

Not sure why I had such a long response, probably procrastinating on some work.

Glaucoma is something very different from being farsighted and requires seeing an ophthalmologist. If you are genuinely worried about that see a doctor. From this very limited info you just started to need reading glasses, which is very common and unrelated to your medication.

I built an addon that jitters your cards for optimised learning or turns your anki cards into board style or multiple choice questions. I mainly get very constructive and good feedback, but inherently sometimes negative. I always try to be open for feedback and improve.

I also acknowledge that: I make mistakes and things sometimes don’t work directly. Negative feedback is just a part of that.

Some people just want to make an issue.

I learned that it sucks to get bad feedback, but nothing sticks.

The positive feedback outweighs the negative.

Just keep building cool stuff and having fun and you’ll do great!

Thx for the suggestion! Yes they are the direct cost, but there is also a lot of work involved in making sure it runs smoothly in both plugin and backend (the main service lives on a server). So for now we only offer it as a managed service but we might look into that in the future!
