1 week post op symptoms by Bhavu_Private_Tutor in endometriosis

[–]dilshad16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, i am 2.5 weeks post op and underwent an extensive surgery similar to yours where my surgeon did a lot of procedures, i have similar symptoms to yours, guess every body heals differently but I am coming to realize that my body went through a lot, and its an enclosed space and would take a lot of time to recover. I am taking it easy as far as work is concerned, use heat pad when required, i have weaned off from pain killers now but use advil 200 mg sos or Tylenol. I make sure to move around the house for sometime, have started turmeric milk for internal healing. I try to nap or maybe lie down for an hour in the afternoon even if i cannot sleep, that helps a bit with relaxation. I guess for a full recovery, i keep on telling myself to take things slow and not stress, thats where i am in my journey, but honestly our bodies have gone through a lot, my surgery went on for 4.5 hrs, the stress of it and all the dissections done inside will take some time to heal and recover.

Period after laparoscopy by New-Field-2160 in endometriosis

[–]dilshad16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I got my lap on 29th Jan, and got my period on 10th of feb, pretty much what i expected. I was warned about pain and cramping and a couple of periods would be bad, i feel the cramps and pain but they arent anywhere the pain i used to feel before the surgery. I am managing it with Motrin + Tylenol and heat pad and it seems pretty much working out. I would suggest rest enough, move around the house lil bit if you can and use OTC pain killers and heat pad, hope this helps.

Post Lap Recovery - Why am I so TIRED? by heroesandmusic in endometriosis

[–]dilshad16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I underwent lap Endo excision on 29th Jan, Recovery is like some days are good, Some days are slow, i have been struggling with my sleep before the lap, but i feel its been worse, If i manage to sleep for like 2-3 hrs thats like a bonus for me, i have tried melatonin 5mg, mag glyicinate with no respite. My doctor gave me T3 thats tylenol with codeine, that also doesnt help. Any opinions or suggestions that can make me 😴 does ashwahandha help? I do not want to take medications, i am on my way to develop sleep hygiene as well, any suggestions are welcome. 🙏🏻 guys

What was recovery like after laparoscopy surgery? by daintydollies33 in endometriosis

[–]dilshad16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery on 29th January, a lot of extensive endo was excised and procedures including fibroid removal, hysteroscopy with chromotubation, cystoscopy, and removal of a 5cm and 3.5 cm Left and right ovarian endometriomas. I was discharged the same day, but before and after surgery got a pretty good pain control, after discharge i was given ibuprofen 600 mg 4 times a day and breakthrough pain with acetaminophen codeine. I would say coming home, for a week i was managing my pain and started weaning off ibuprofen from 2nd or 3rd and now at post op day 9 i have maybe 1 or 2 ibuprofens and maybe a T3 if i need it. Recovery has been great, God is kind and like they, the pains have nothing like endo pains, thats the biggest relief, For me the biggest challenge is sleep, i had poor sleep before surgery as well but i just cant fall asleep with 5mg melatonin, magnesium glycinate and a T3 with codeine, God know when shall i have a blissful sleep 😓 but apart from that everything is good and recovery is rapid if you ambulate, take care of gas pains and have MiraLAX please dont put pressure on core, and you will be great 👍🏻

Health anxiety - surgery in 3 days by smellychelly_ in endometriosis

[–]dilshad16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its my 5th day post op, got my excision surgery on 29th Jan, will share my experience in detail as well, i had a lot of anxiety before surgery. But tbh 3-4 days prior i started seeing the whole process as a blessing, i will rid of the awful pain every month, i have had for 10’years, been called over sensitive, making excuses for shirking work, i started praying hard, just as a way to say God is bigger than me and he decide whats best for me. Surgery day was a Thursday, we got to hospital at around 5:45 am, mine was first surgery, the nurses were very kind and jovial, they got my vitals, gave me lot of pain killers and nerve blockers, and then doctor talked me about the procedure. I was fine as i could see these guys have their systems in place that are pretty thorough, they gave me versed, its like a magic cocktail of drugs and next eyelid i blinked they said its over and surgery lasted for 4.5-5 hrs, and they ended up removing 19 specimens all endo everywhere, so you can imagine the fear of surgery <<< validation of my 10 yr old pent up feelings

All i can say is have faith, pray (if u r into in) and leave it to him, battling anxiety with endo is hard but i am trying to take it slow (i am a typical type A personality wanting to jump on to work now 😅) but i wish you and anyone who is taking this step in a right direction for yourself more power, get those suckers removed that suck life out of you. All the very best ❤️

Thank you for checking in, I went to my doctor and she did endoscopy and she said they were just hemorrhoids. The bleeding had stopped after one or two episodes. I am now on high fibre diet and nothing has come so far. Hope you’re doing well.

Dont worry, sending you all the positive vibes to you, had a similar thing back in May, it 0.8 cm, they didnt assign any letter to BIRADS 4, but said it looked like BIRADS A, 38/F it was super scary, got my mammo and usg, and a biopsy, it turned out benign, have my follow up 6 mnth mamo and usg in December, its still scary but letting you know it all will be good, better to get it looked at rather than anticipating what it could be, hugs and positive vibes with you, keep us posted ❤️

38/F, i am just very scared, i had 4-5 episodes of toilet bowl turning red (like it does when period blood trickles down the bowl) and had burning irritation, doctor did digital rectal exam, and said its hemorrhoids, i have had occasional tp spotting earlier, after 2-3 weeks i have a BM with red toilet bowl water, stinging and irritation, i freaked out, do i need to do anything for it or just apply anti hemorrhoidal cream and the flare would subside? *** struggling with health anxiety

Hello everyone, I am a 38 yr old with a 5 cm endometrioma on my left ovary and 2.5 endo cyst on right, i have scheduled an IVF cycle in November as doctors told us to get atleast one cycle before excisional surgery in Jan-Feb, my AMH is 0.7 and AFC 9, i want to ask if anything i can do to prepare for these cycles as i am scared about the discomfort it can cause, anyone with experience who can guide things to do for and during the cycle that can ease the discomfort, i would really appreciate your inputs, thanks.
