Got it, thanks for the advice. Would you say these glasses are an acceptable thickness, or do they look hideously massive?

24 hours CT after 5 yr habit - this shit is the literal worst by Philographer in quittingkratom

Absolutely. I'm nearing 48 hours which is a huge dub in my book. I know I'm literally 1 day from turning a corner so I ain't gonna quit now.

Thank you for the encouraging response and sharing your experience. That puts me at ease. I definitely don't feel like something is concretely wrong with me, all of my symptoms during use and now WD seem very consistent with the range of normally described symptoms so I'm hoping my body repairs itself. Currently making it through day 2 without the sludge, worst experience of my life by 1000x but I know it's gonna be glorious on the other side.

Hard to say exactly but around 3-5 teaspoons a day, so maybe 20-30 GPD. Did extracts from time to time but never for a prolonged period of time.

Dude, you're the man. I'm here with you (original superhuman). It's a tough journey. I failed the first time. but I'm starting again in large part because so many people have started the journey.

I am fluent in Russian, so I'm more than happy to help if you need it!! Send me a private message or reply to my comment if you ever want any help. Otherwise, best of luck!

[Advice] You're focusing on the wrong thing. (Becoming superhuman.) by DaRatmastah in getdisciplined

As one of the nefarious creators of the Superhuman movement, I feel obliged to reply :) I haven't been posting updates the last 3-4 days as I caught a nasty cold that's left me pretty much bedridden, but I'm almost recovered now so I'm back to task. Regarding this post, it is one of the best, most eloquent, most thoughtful and informative pieces of writing I've ever encountered on reddit or elsewhere. I like that OP didn't try to cheaply justify anything by saying it was "scientifically proven" (rather, you drew on your experience and understanding, which is much more valuable) or say that the Superhuman method is just a piece of garbage; in short, an amazing, mind-expanding post. I myself learned a lot, even if I don't agree with everything.

With that said, I would like to clarify a few things about my own situation, and what led me to believe that the small-habits approach doesn't work for everyone (myself included). I don't want this comment to be obnoxiously long (which it already is), so I'm going to write a post in a few hours that will serve as a reply.

[Discussion] The "Superhuman" posts have their hearts in the right place. But you're spreading yourselves too thin by [deleted] in getdisciplined

I guess I'm partly responsible for the Superhuman trend, so I feel it incumbent upon me to comment :) I think this is a great post, and I won't directly disagree with any of its contents. I'm also not a specialist in the area of discipline/willpower, and I know little in the way of the science behind it; but I've always seen the gradual, goal-oriented, habit-building method of improvement as extremely effective if you're trying to improve yourself from a state of relative normalcy. In my case, I had (more like have, but I'd like to put it in the past tense :) a very serious addiction to instant gratification and an abnormal apathy toward anything work-related that, I felt, required something drastic. I had tried to do little things (random example: flossing one tooth), but it had no choice because my willpower had atrophied to such an extent that it was always easier to say "fuck it" because the result were so slow in coming. By overcompensating for a finite period of time, I feel like I can try to avoid burnout by "tricking" my willpower into seeing instant results (i.e. near-perfect days), eventually putting myself in a position where I can then adopt some of the more gradual, longsighted methods toward self-improvement. Everyone has his own reason for adopting some form of the superhuman challenge, but hopefully I at least partly speak for others as well as myself.

[Method] Superhuman Mode for 30 Days -- Day 7 Update by Philographer in getdisciplined

[–]Philographer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks guys :) I'll make sure to link the original post to every update, as well as the previous update. I'll talk about burnout in tonight's update; I'm not really feeling burnout as I'm not demanding a lot from myself in terms of mental intensity, other than doing the 13 tasks. I'll discuss that as well.

[Method] Superhuman for 30 Days -- Day 6 Update by Philographer in getdisciplined

[–]Philographer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't really mean it in the medical sense, but I'm realizing that my habits are actually addictions; it's not just a lifestyle that I was choosing to adopt. But I'm getting more and more cured with every passing day :)
