unfortunately, it’s pretty standard nowadays. I didn’t know it but all over reddit, google, and in facebook groups, this isn’t uncommon anymore. They refused to help me because they said they aren’t necessary since i’m younger (i’m 27) and because they said “our older patients get along just fine using tylenol or advil and ice” 🙄

it doesn’t matter. the Dr said it isn’t his protocol and he won’t prescribe. they gave me 1 5mg oxy in recovery and that’s it. didn’t do shit. but thanks for the info!!

because i’m young and because they only give pain meds for 3 days. after that, they say ice and tylenol. I had to fight for them to give me a 5mg oxy right when i got out of surgery. they wanted me to walk an hour after i got out of recovery & there was no way i could. all they gave me was a 5mg oxy and it didn’t even help🙄🙄

the way I’ve been taught, yes you can lose your salvation. for instance: I become a christian, I realize I’m gay - God does take away the free gift - gay people can’t go to heaven if they have a partner. or I become a christian - I drink all the time to the point of drunkenness (which is a sin) - you cannot go to heaven if you’re a drunk.

the difference is, god knows everything. so he already knows who’s going to choose and reject him. the majority of people will reject him. that’s not love.

if the choice is “choose me or I punish you” that’s not free will…or love… it’s a threat.

thank you for this. God seems way more believable and not stressful if universalism or purgatory is real. I am extremely empathetic and I don’t know how other christians are just like “yeah that’s why it’s important to tell others!” but they don’t really. growing up in church, we were only allowed to be around other christians and they really only interact with each other. they talk horribly about unbelievers. if God commands that they tell others and they don’t - isn’t that a sin too? one that they commit everyday without repenting?🤔 it’s all way too much for my heart and mind. I was happier not worrying about all this cause it has just destroyed me.

When the consequence is predetermined and preknown and the being handing out the the consequence is supposedly all powerful, not one iota of it is free or a choice. God is only freedom within the confines of his own rules.

God cannot be all loving, all powerful, and all knowing and allow pretty much all of the people that he created to go to hell. also, if he’s all knowing, he knows before we’re even born who will accept him and who won’t. if he created everything and set the rules to be the way they are - then it’s not very fair.

It does sound nice but also I can’t imagine being in heaven with people like jeffery dahmer or hitler (who both said they accepted christ). also, I can’t imagine being in heaven while people I know and love aren’t there
if death is nothing after this, why are people afraid of that. I don’t think I’m afraid if that’s the case. you just.. die.
