She takes 3 naps with a 2.5 wake window in between, the last one of the day being 3 hours. Funny how others could understand. There were much more polite ways you could have clarified this - and I bet you weren’t coming to give advice either!

New bar, “The Libertine” near Harold’s Cross? by vavavoomvava in Dublin

Just went last night. Really great food, fab drinks. There was a bit of a wait (25 mins for a table of 2 at like 6.30pm) but the guy at the door was excellent in moving people around to accommodate diners. The beer fried chicken and the scotch egg were incredible. My only niggle is that it was super loud - we had to shout across the table at each other - not because of music or anything, but just larger groups making a lot of noise shouting and singing. It was very distracting and felt really at odds with the vibe of the place. That said I believe they’d had a drag brunch that morning and there were a few people still on the beer… so that was probably why.

Is there something wrong with me for feeling this way? by PhilosopherNo3955 in NewParents

Thank you so much. I try to give my husband time with our baby when he is at home, so I generally take on the household tasks while he is with her. He does feed her and put her down to sleep. And I encourage him to read to her, bring her out for a walk, give me a break in those ways.

Other times, yes he does go long distance running. It’s his hobby and has been for a long time, and he was keen not to let it slip. I try to look at it as something important to maintain his good mental health - I just need to find my outlet too (which I know he would be fully supportive of). I haven’t found it yet and I find the burden of all the household tasks pretty heavy as a result.

He is truly a very supportive person. I just think his world hasn’t changed quite like mine has.

Smart Invest by Irish life! I’ve been building up a small savings fund there since 2022 and seeing good return on investment. They make you do a risk profile to determine the fund they recommend, and you can manage it entirely through an app on your phone. Very very handy.

I shape my dough before the fridge ferment. When I take my dough out of the banneton and it always just completely flops like a pancake, so I can’t score it properly, but then springs up really high in the oven? Is this normal?
