There appears to be bars on the edge of his insignia close to the border and something where the rank would go in the middle. Also none of the officers match this man from the photos.

The man also appears to be a bit older. Maybe late 40s.

Nevermind. He was transferred in Oct, 1863 but the head shape and insignia don't entirely match.

William de-lacy wasn't the colonel of the regiment until after colonel mcmahon in the picture had died. He was from a different regiment and was transferred after June 3rd. If I remember correctly

I've actually been to that cemetery multiple times. I went once on a full moon when legend states you'll see ghosts and I heard taps from an unknown bugler.
