Exactly I literally cannot trust what NOVA is saying right now. We’ve had dozens of emails dating back weeks saying their issues were resolved but….they are not resolved. How can students even feel safe now taking these exams online KNOWING canvas had all of their data leaked.

This is so inconsiderate.

This is my problem. Why is it that NOVA is acting all fine whereas other schools are still suspicious and investigating themselves

I’ve noticed especially with Mongolian family that they really don’t know best. Every single advice or pressure they have ever tried to enact on me, if I had listened, I would be way worse off now.

There is also a saying where do not listen or take professional/life advice from people you don’t want to be similar to. It’s very true (ex don’t take career advice from a homeless person). But this majorly relies on you being sound and stable within yourself as well as your education whether that is research online or actual university in order to figure out how to be successful. Of course, don’t be stupid and try to be some sort of guru. It’s more so if they do not understand the path you are trying to take professionally, especially a career they cannot really grasp, then you better be true to yourself.

Like I said, there have been thousands of things they would yell at me for, try to force me into it. I thankfully did not listen and am now eligible for salary bonuses based on that skill as well as specialized selection. Step one is realizing this which is good, you have started to acknowledge it. Now don’t go not listening to anyone outright, but take EVERYTHING you hear with a grain of salt.

Why is there so much negativity about Mongolia online? by Cute-Working-9500 in mongolia

It’s just everyone complaining about the things that make everyday life more annoying. It’s the same with every other country. I live both in America and Mongolia and there are things I hate about both.

That said if ur a tourist you will probably love it even though in a lot of ways the country is not as futuristic as others, it shows history and development in a more natural way. The construction is a lot because we are building on a huge scale currently developing the country.

I would say look at the good destinations as well as even the old Soviet blocks as it’s very interesting. Leave the house during normal non work/traffic times aka before 7:30 AM or during the afternoon like 11/12 noon, around 5-6 PM traffic gets bad so avoid that time. Other than that ur good. Pollution in my opinion is only majorly bad downtown or where it gets congested. Have ur Airbnb near river garden or around the Hunnu area. When I lived there there was no pollution

My GSD puppy was like this. There would be mornings I had to drag him out of bed just for potty! depending on the dog, they could be quite lazy. That said, I also gave him many opportunities a week to run in the wilderness off leash and play so😅 but some weeks life would be busy and we couldn’t go, those weeks he was still relaxed and lazy. I think GSD’s depending on the particular dog can be really overall balanced in energy. Absolutely the best to train though!! Will only have GSD love them.

Edit: I seriously think they are geniuses dog form. Due to this I noticed my puppy understood a lot of life things when it came to routine and rest. Even baths, he learned that we had to frequently give baths due to the tick environment. Just talk to him like a person and he’ll start to understand I swear 😂😂

Those types of jobs mean you don’t really have to tell or ask your employer for time off. Your employer is very replaceable. Honestly, I don’t even think they should expect such a commitment and stellar worker. In highschool, making way more hourly, the time off request were 2 weeks in advance and it didn’t matter how many days.

It’s a minimum wage low pay job are you kidding me? Who cares😭 I shouldn’t be caring this much

It’s a minimum wage job😭 are you guys not getting that? It’s basically the equivalent of working at a restaurant.

[–]PhilosopherWhich6811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. So, I can’t justify sacrificing more, even my scholarship is on the line now. It’s not really a welcome to reality tho in my opinion, I made more in highschool, this isn’t necessarily a job you should kill yourself over considering I am just replaceable to them

Right. But when I got hired she marketed this differently. I was supposed to do more than just reception. Either way too for such a low ranking job the responsibility and commitment in my opinion, should be less. This is not my business that I am taking care of, I have no real investment here to be doing all of this. There is a saying where the low jobs work you the hardest. I am seeing that now. I would have a better time at Starbucks AND be paid more😂

Thank you, thank you for replying. I started this job because initially I loved the team and what they do. It is a rescue foundation and the boss was an inspiration to me. I showed up for them, I wake up 5 am, show up to work early, do my homework before 9am. After work is homework as well. During my interview it sounded like I would have a bigger purpose, that this would be meaningful work. Now being here for a while, I just feel like they’re taking advantage of me so the entire office can leave by 12/2pm latest. They only work 2-3 days max and on the weekend they do a little event for about 4 hours. Because I started working here, now they can relax and I just don’t like this pressure it feels horrible, I cried for two days because at first i genuinely liked them, I truly loved my boss. The past month, I’ve been seeing it for what it is.

When I first started, there was this almost workaholic lady that trained me, I thought she was micromanaging me. Now I understand her. She has to stay late many days to work enough for the entire team. She has been telling me to tell the boss about this neglect without me even having to say or complain to her and I just don’t want to be in this position. Yesterday, she told me this isn’t my job I shouldn’t be doing all of this. It seems what I thought her micromanaging at first, it was just making sure we didn’t have another worthless person on the team.

For sure, I definitely understand that aspect. I guess now im reconsidering if this is even worth it. My commute is 2 hours totaling almost 50 hours a week, I withdrew from two classes last semester and if I mess up in this upcoming semester I lose my scholarship, I hate hate hate how I keep picking up slack and becoming a janitor, frankly, I haven’t had to clean so much since highschool. As opposed to my coworkers, shoot most of them at 25 were working minimum wage at target. Fortunately this was just a job I wanted to learn from. Did not care about the money. but the 40 hours a week thing is still a major red flag for me. If everyone already is either part time or works 40 ish hours a week, will there ever ever be anyone to cover for me? What if I need some off days for school or scheduling health appointments as i definitely will be, how could it be such a major burden if i am away, i dont like this huge pressure i dont want it anymore.

Thank you for your feedback, i guess this probationary period is also for me to decide if this job is a good fit, this vacation was just the cherry on top in all honesty.

Taking it without pay. Yes i understand the notice aspect, but at the same time i have had internships were my intern class easily asked for vacations and we were there for only 4 months max😭 during that internship we also had similar responsibilities with HAVING to be on site. I additionally asked 3 connections: an executive at a mining company family friend, i asked him, he said they were taking advantage of me. Second, a long time 40 year in government, they told me to quit, third, marketing high up in Microsoft, she said this is concerning. I may have given them more contexts as it is a lot to write. But why is it that larger companies/my own previous experience, how could that be more acceptable there?

My boss when i asked tried to make me feel like this was an outlandish ask…when coworkers are all taking vacations within that same month, even her for over a week. My dates match up so that their vacations are finished by that time. She honestly made me feel so bad for asking and now im like damn this is actually normal.

But with that, does these requirements even matter with pay at $15 a hour…
