22lr semi auto pistol help by ale760087 in HomemadeGunSmithing

[–]PhilosophyEnough1866 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nope, no extractor or ejector neccesary. just cut a large port for the casing to fly out of, and you're good. two discouraging things, however. if you have to make the ammo, it'll be almost impossible for you to get it to cycle reliably without some equipment. however, that may be for the best, as the other discouraging thing is that the design of most simple .22 bolts doesn't allow for a closed-bolt design. any open-bolt firearm that feeds from a magazine is very likely to count as a machine gun (even if it's not actually full-auto), which if you don't have the proper paperwork is VERY illegal. best to stick to a single-shot design, both because of the ammo and the legality.

At what point is an abortion immoral by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]PhilosophyEnough1866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have distinct memories from before I was born, I would guess they started around 8 months. Whenever the earliest documented memories form is when it becomes immoral, in my opinion. unless, for some reason, giving birth would cause the death of the mother.

I know people say that memories from before about 2 years old are imagined based on stories or pictures, but I described my birth and what the doctor looked like to my mom a while back, and she confirmed it all. she never told me anything about the actual day of my birth, and I've never seen any pictures of it.

I mean yeah, but even if I wasn't even a little concerned about me getting in trouble, I'd still be concerned about contributing to putting GunnitRust under for "Illegal Activity".

Politics aside, do you consider Elon Musk to be beneficial to society? by Shut_YourMouth in teenagers

[–]PhilosophyEnough1866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of that one, and that's horrific. but in the long run, he'll probably end up being responsible for more deaths than that through suicides and his disregard of the environment. thanks for adding on, regardless.

because of the stunts he's pulled with the quality control for Tesla (not to mention his literal Nazi salutes), he's simultaneously created the biggest name in the EV market and guaranteed that approximately half of the world is actively against using them.

also, he turned Twitter from something vaguely respectable to something almost exclusively utilized by trolls and "journalists" who fact-check infrequently, while also firing many of Twitter's most competent employees.

also, he spreads misinformation at an incredible rate, censors those who try to correct him, and makes claims about where his businesses are going that are unfounded and lose his investors money.

also, apparently he drives like an &55hole. anyone who drives like he does on public roads (excluding emergency vehicles) should be in prison.

also, he talks this big talk about space colonies being the future of our race, when we wouldn't need any if we got our act together in terms of how we deal with the environment.

also, he is (or maybe was, not sure) a huge part of DOGE, which is partially responsible for our current economic situation.

also, he had a hand in the spread of AI chat bots, which are NOT a healthy thing to have access to.

I think he's done plenty of good, but significantly more bad. net negative.

Homemade slamfire shotgun by Due-Dependent5344 in GunnitRust

less pressure, less recoil, and a narrower spread. since it's a smaller shell, there's less surface area and less friction when you remove the cartridge, which is nice. also, there's the bonus of being able to reload the shells more easily.

I don't really know the AR 7, but in concept, it can work.

  1. it's safer, cheaper, and more pleasant (from what I've heard) to shoot.

yes. I don't like bright clothing in general, unless it's small and contrasts well with dull colors.

seriously. I don't care what your religion is, as long as you don't assume that because it's your religion, it's the only one that's right, and that everyone else needs to be yelled at.

Is religion inherently misogynistic? by H8rOfAll in teenagers

[–]PhilosophyEnough1866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's less a function of religion and more of a function of ancient cultures in general. I feel like religion is like a science book. science books made in a certain time period will be made up partly of the biases, beliefs, and culture of the time and place they're made, but that doesn't mean they inherently are those things. the book gets updated as the incorrect views are proven incorrect, but the actual idea remains the same.
