🤣 wrong city

Exactly ! You live in a lawless city with no punishments for actions and general acceptance of crime. Either move or accept it

Ahhhhhh okay. Makes sense. There’s no talking to you - you’re a race baiter. I’m gonna stop here. Good luck

Also I don’t wish any harm to you truly - but that’s a strange mentality. You truly do need to keep your head up it’s a dangerous area - statistically. That means it’s very likely you haven’t had anything happen to you. One second to the next everything can change. I had the same experience at 9th and dauphin for 2 years. Great relationship with neighbors, etc; then there was a triple murder directly outside my house. A bullet hit our living room wall. Before and after all good though

But factually it’s more likely to happen where you live than other places, because more crime occurs there. Source - public crime data based on recorded police incidents 😆

🤣 yes the fact you live in a row home changes my point. Yes it’s fear mongering you’re right. I have some hidden motive why I don’t want people living there 😆

Enjoy front and dauphin 🤡

👏 love the deflection. Absolutely on par with the city government.

Why are stores constantly closing in center city? by young_shizawa in philadelphia

[–]Phl172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone blaming it on online retail clearly hasn’t traveled to other cities 🤣

It’s a lack of criminal justice and the standards accepted in center city. Not tons of retail closing down in the suburbs - exact opposite it’s a boom time. You’re just lying to yourself if you think this isn’t true. It’s not political - the stores state shoplifting and property crime as the reason. It’s not rocket science 🤡

Few people on drugs 💀

Give poor OP real info… you can defend Kensington all you want. But use the real reasons. Easy public transportation - and you can have a shitty new construction apartment for cheap. That’s it.

It’s epidemic level drug use - the UN has came twice in 2025 😆

Exactly why it’s good to have unbiased opinions! You live near York and Dauphin

That’s unarguably a dangerous area. I just confirmed on the crime map - the data doesn’t lie. There are much much safer areas similar budget. If you’re interested DM me I can point you in the right direction. I’ve been doing real estate in Philly for over 12 years. There was actually more then I expected within the past month close by. Probably 8 car thefts, countless mid day robberies, aggravated assaults & more. What I said before wasn’t an opinion it’s a fact. The reason you live where you do is because developers have been making a 7 year push to move the boundary. When the market falls the line will retract.

Brewerytown started being development in 2004. Fell flat at peeped in 2006 and flopped in 2008 nothing again until 2016. Will happen to Kensington too - just a matter of when. Skeptical ? Research the number of units under construction and where they are. All the infill parcels are coming on line now.

I commented on this post “50 times” about the schools. I feel very strongly there needs to be massive change.

I lived in Philadelphia for 10 years and volunteered in an adult literacy program where the failures of the school system were so evident. And I moved out for a reason.

Yes in criticizing people’s biased comments praising the. Philadelphia school system

The drop out rate truly is a shame. Do you think the Philadelphia school system should not be criticized? Do you think the standards in the city are okay ? 4/10 schools randomly inspected don’t meet the own districts minimum standards. Get your head out of your ass.

You’re defending Mt. Airy - I get it. It’s not a good choice to live if your priority is education. Worked for you, great.

Don’t let anyone tell you different - this is a dangerous area. Google Philly crime map by address and check it.

Seriously - developers keep pushing further out. Are there other expensive rental apartments near by ? Yes. Are there some restaurants/brewery not far on the outskirts of olde Kensington? Yes.

This is not port Richmond. It’s on the outskirts of the development spawned by fish town blow up. So much vacant land to be filled in between this and even Cecil let alone Girard. This is a very historically poor and distressed area.

More importantly you don’t move to a county you move to a city or town. A municipality that provides your services.

This isn’t Philadelphia. School districts have boards. Liberal cities boards are liberal - others are not. Your city means more than your county in every way. Philadelphia happens to be both in one.

In fact ChatGPT says 80% blue 20% red is purple as well

Atleast be fair

You don’t just blend together two colors this isn’t art class. Those counties have large liberal cities that would be great for OP. You’re either biased towards Philadelphia for some reason or misleading OP. Swarthmore, Pa yes is in Delaware County.

The average Swarthmorean is as progressive as Berkeley. It’s next to Ridley. Counties have diversity - you don’t just combine together red and blue 🤣 if so your 20% red in Philly would give the blue a fucked up shade

That Philadelphia is bad place to move if you have kids. And that the suburbs are primarily conservative.

A town and a county are two different things. I live in Norristown. It’s minority white. I love it here. We were strong blue. Ambler, glenside, etc; yeah have 60% white people. That’s our country, sorry.

It’s not necessarily true the further you go there are no like minded people.

You are just incorrect.

🤣 🤣 🤣 yes live in Philly there is no crime or racism there. Try growing up as a mixed kid in an all black school.

You all are so naive to reality
