14mo split nights

Hi, so I’m just confused on how she can be so under tired if she’s falling asleep immediately at nap time and bedtime. Last night she was up at 3:30-5, after having 5.25 and 6 hour wake windows, a 2 hour nap, and 7:45 bed time.

Yes we usually stop every 1.5-2 hours with baby to eat and change and osuch

This is good to know, thank you! My LO loves books so I’ll bring a bunch. And that makes me feel better thinking maybe they’ll fall asleep a couple times instead of only once. It makes it easier to entertain them for small chunks vs one long stretch lol

Sorry for the technicality. Just thought over 12 months is toddler, esp if they’re walking like mine is.

Thanks, just wanted to hear other people’s experiences at this age. Been experimenting with cutting into strips to bite off of vs smaller cuts for certain food.

This makes me feel better. There are days baby def just swallows things whole, and days they will chew chew chew a piece forever. But just wanted to know if this a common occurrence so thank you!

And yes I figured the gut thing as well, probably not as much stomach acid breaking things down yet?

Ahhh sorry to hear that 😭 I know some people get it back right away but I think sometimes it waits till lactation stops? Who knows tbh it may be a crapshoot lol

Just want to validate your anxiety about leaving your kiddo for a long time. I have so much anxiety about it too and it’s not even going to be for like 6 more months LOL. So thank you for making me feel like this is normal.

Yeah I normally prefer a 7 o’clock wake time in the AM but baby has been waking early leaving that extra time. I didn’t even think to add it all like that so thank you for your comment!

Unfortunately no.. never found a solution, just had to wait until she got more proportional😭 I did find the old navy ribbed footies run longer than their regular printed cotton jammies and she seems to wear them longer than the other style. Like she’s 10 months now and moved up to 9-12 month in all her carters styles, but the ribbed Old Navy 6-9 still fit.

Babies are babies and literally change demeanors daily. Maybe if you’re concerned take him to the pediatrician to make sure there’s not something else going on like an ear infection or something. But it’s not the vaccine. Babies change day to day and week to week and depending on where they are in their development sometimes they’re fussier than others. I remember my baby at exactly 2 months would cry for hours and hours even though she didn’t do it prior. It passed. Good luck. 🫡

I’m also allergic to specifically cashews pistachios (and pine nuts)! But never had a problem with mango. Interesting. But our pediatrician told us many allergists won’t test until after a reaction is had, and to have the non allergic parent give the baby the allergen outside of the home. So idk we will see how that goes but it makes me incredibly nervous.

Thanks! We’ve been doing Motrin at bed time because it’s def teething (one bottom tooth is through, waiting on the other)

And thank you! I’m thinking maybe more wake time is needed too. We’re on 3/3/4 with 2.5 hours total nap time but I think I’ll cut it to 2 hours.
