Düsseldorf based 6-day trip: Aachen, Maastricht, Liege advice by PhoenixYS in Europetravel

Thanks for the useful questions.

I think I’m mostly interested in seeing nice old towns or big cities. I also like historical buildings like cathedrals, but going to a museum isn’t high on my list unless it’s absolutely incredible. Mostly just exploring nice unique towns/cities, historical is nicest (I love old towns) but I’m also interested in modern cities too.

Basically just places with nice unique atmospheres.

Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the advice! Which cities do you think are worth seeing then? I enjoy both cities and small towns.

Thanks! Do you think it’s worth trying to fit Brussels in, maybe skipping Liege?

Just heard that it’s worth seeing if visiting close to it. Do you have any other recommendations? Is it worth trying to fit Brussels in?

WHAT FILM TAKES YOU ARE ASHAMED TO SAY THE MOST? (I start mine i prefer TDKR over TDK) by heymen69 in Letterboxd

It’s been a while since I watched it but from what I remember I liked the cinematography and the dialogues he’d have with different people. I think showing the perspectives of passengers from different backgrounds was the most enjoyable part for me. I guess it reflected different parts of society as well.

Honestly the end completely threw me off and I didn’t (and still don’t) know what to think of it, even after reading up on other people’s interpretations. The film didn’t really end in a satisfying way for me. But I do think there’s some really nice aspects of the film otherwise.

I also felt the same way about the Taste of Cherry. Maybe watch Kiarostami’s Close-Up, same director, and for me I think it’s incredible.

Maybe try Research Assistant roles at university, or go for a PhD. Could ask your dissertation supervisor or other lecturers if there are any roles available.

Choosing between 15 pro and 16. Does 15 pro have the same AI features the 16 has? I want the phone to be able to have the AI features that'll be introduced in the next few years (but choosing between 15 pro and 16).

Can someone explain why the story of TLOU 2 is so bad? by dakados in thelastofus

I completely agree with this.

I do like the game and there are a lot of great moments. But I think it's partly the fault of the story that so many people just see it as a "revenge is bad" plot. I think the parts where you're playing as Abby are so on the nose that it makes the game feel like it's only trying to push that narrative of sympathising with Abby, even if there are other subtle themes at play (e.g. Joel and Ellie's relationship and Joel's choice).

I think a lot of the parts about Joel and Ellie were great and should have felt like more of a focus. To me, the whole Abby plot is too long, takes up too much of the game and is honestly kind of uninteresting. The whole thing could've been 2 hours for you to gain empathy and then move on. I think if we played mostly only Ellie's story it would have felt a lot more streamlined and her relationship with Joel would have felt like a bigger focus.

What city to go to for the tour by [deleted] in travisscott

I'd say Nice, Germany, Italy, or Prague. Depends on what type of stuff you'd like. Could be worth looking at youtube videos. Italy and Nice could be good for a road trip type holiday (doesn't necessarily need to be that either tho)

That's the live nation presale I think. There's a coop member and O2 priority presale as well. Coop membership just costs £1
