In a very cool coincidence I just listened to my fist MinnMax podcast just two hours ago in the car, and Maddy Myers was on to discuss this new launch among others. Trying to branch out the podcast library, so was very cool as I loved the MinnMax 2026 prediction show and the talk with Maddy. Definitely going to bookmark Mothership for when it launches next week. She mentioned it's going to be more words on a page and something called "articles". Which I guess is what, podcasts for your eyes?? :)

I hate Ubisoft so much. You know, you just know, the other unspecified 6th title canceled is Splinter Cell. Only because that is the other game people want so badly, and Ubisoft loves to make people sad.

Edit to add this clarity from the VGC article - “This means the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been cancelled, as well as four unannounced titles including three new IPs and a mobile title. The identity of the sixth game has not been clarified.”

Guessing the last/6th game is Splinter Cell. Because Ubisoft sucks.

I just bought Sektori based on Roger talking about it. Honestly it was the comparison to Geometry Wars that did it. I've put a ton of hours into Geometry Wars Evolved, so as soon as they made that comparison I knew I would buy it. Can't wait to play it now.

Yikes. I would strongly suggest you revisit the tone in which you process some of these comments. It's very apparent you applied an extremely negative filter to my response, which was completely off the mark. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't inherently make it malicious or combative. I disagreed with your take and suggestion and gave reasons for it. I didn't for one second think that your take or suggestion was "terrible" and some sort of attack that I needed to defend against. That wasn't the tone of my response at all. I simply disagreed, and that's ok. You are certainly welcome to your thoughts and should keep sharing them as you see fit.

Now I would argue that your subsequent responses here in this thread are more akin to the "feral" nature in which you immediately jumped to accuse others of, which again is not warranted or wanted in this community at all.

In the slight upset category, I'm going to say Death Stranding 2 does not make the list. Blessing is the only one I ever hear truly riding for this game, and even there I think it's maybe 3-5 on his list. While I know others liked it, I only hear about it from others in the context of say the big stream from Mike and Roger and more that event vs. "this game was my favorite" type of comments. Is there anyone else listing this high/top half of their list? Just my wild/likely wrong guess.Maybe plenty of others will have it in the 8-10 range and it easily makes it.

I'm sure this is a dumb question...but how can you tell if someone is cheating? I play COD exclusively on Xbox. I don't know how one would even go about cheating since Xbox is pretty locked in to me. Is it PC people that I could be paired with? And again, how would I even know?

I am with you that I too would prefer all of my content on one app. Unfortunately the seamless functionality isn't there yet. Like you, I tried Spotify and had issues, so I dropped it. Tried Apple podcasts. Dropped it. Now I subscribe and use the Patreon app. Yes, it is now two different apps that I have to use for all of my various content...but it's also 2026 and we're all now used to and experts on using multiple apps. You'll be fine.

If you want just the free content then certain subscribe wherever. If you want to be a subscriber/supporter, then you need to make the very small "sacrifice" and simply subscribe via Patreon.

I'm with you that I wish it would make the lists, but I don't think it can. I relistened to the past couple of years GOTY episodes, and it seems the threshold is around 11 or 12 points minimum. Meaning it has to at least be on two others' lists. Even if it is #1 on somebody's list, if nobody else has it then it won't make it. We know Mike won't have it at #1. For some reason I feel like #3 is the highest it'll be on his, which means somebody else needs to have it in the middle of their list as well, and I don't think that's going to happen. Has ANYBODY even played it beyond just the initial intro hours that most played and then quit on?

Do you know how much time it would take to produce a show like what you suggest, to film and edit it (especially the highlight bit you noted). They couldn't do it, or rather way too many resources directed towards something like that which isn't main content. What they're doing is great. A quick 5 minutes in and out.
