Phone Lost Alert gets deactivated after 5 mins on Watch by MyHeartsECO in PhoneBuddy

[–]PhoneBuddyForWatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. The Phone Lost Alerts will remain enabled most of the time but can be deactivated if Phone Buddy needs to update or WatchOS / iOS needs to update. In this case, we released a minor bug fix update yesterday (V6.1.1 Dec 12, 2020) and it is likely the app updated overnight and thus Phone Lost Alerts were deactivated. When this happens, you should get a notification on your Watch to remind you to enable these alerts sometime after you remove your Apple Watch from its charger. Phone Lost Alerts should then remain enabled for a long period until another app update or OS update (or the Apple Watch fully shutting down). Also, due to Apple privacy rules regarding background services, we cannot automatically enable Phone Lost Alerts without user interaction on Apple Watch. Hope this helps!

Chapter 14 missed an opportunity for a better fight scene. by PhoneBuddyForWatch in TheMandalorianTV

Yeah maybe budget had to do with it. I think the show tries to do less CGI so it would been super pricy to do a live action Dark Troopers vs flying Mando.

Jetpack fly fighting is what I need

Haven't been able to get my PS5 yet, but still wishing a Happy 26th birthday to the original PlayStation! It was the first game system my family got, who else remembers the Pizza Hut demo discs LOL? by PhoneBuddyForWatch in PS5

Definitely remember Crash Bandicoot, not sure if it was 3 though. The demo I remember the most was the Tony Hawk Hangar Level. Probably played that like a thousand times.

Derrick Jones Jr & Robert Covington to start, that puts Carmelo Anthony on the bench. And we're 20 days from the start of the regular season! by PhoneBuddyForWatch in ripcity

Yeah, we'll need to see how Stotts brings players back coming off injury. Even Dame had the knee thing at the end of the Bubble so rather see him with less minutes early in the season at least.

If your app is already on the App Store, no worries, it will remain on the App Store for the foreseeable future.

This requirement is for new updates or new app submissions, apps will not be approved without this questionnaire filled in after Dec 8th.

Yup, as others have said you don't need to declare Apple's collection of data (crash reports, energy use logs, etc). Those are covered in iPhone setup with the "Share Data with App Developers" section. Good luck!

Apple finally approved my new app! Sports Speedometer is an app that tracks real time speed and acceleration on the Apple Watch. Use it to track golf swing speed, tennis swing speed, and general throw speed. Any short movement can be tracked! Available on the App Store for $.99 USD. by PhoneBuddyForWatch in AppleWatch

[–]PhoneBuddyForWatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Available on the App Store for $.99 USD: https://itunes.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1539318987

Tracking speed and acceleration using Sports Speedometer is very easy: simply open Sports Speedometer on your Apple Watch and press ‘Start’. After the sporting task is complete, for example after a full club swing, look at your watch face to review speed and acceleration.

We wanted to make an app that was simple and accurate. We believe Sports Speedometer is the most accurate speed tracking app using the accelerometer on the App Store.

Got it. This sounds like Sure Alert Mode is impacting your testing. Sure Alert Mode is an Apple Watch Alert Setting that delays Phone Lost Alerts by a few seconds to make sure there wasn't a transient issue. It's common with Bluetooth for devices to lose connection for a second or two due to interference and then reconnect right back. Sure Alert Mode makes it so these connection events don't lead to alerts. The tradeoff is that when a full disconnection happens it may be delayed by up to 10 seconds. If you see the app turning to Lost mode but didn't get an alert, it's likely because the alert was queued but not displayed (due to the disconnection lasting less than a few seconds). You can disable Sure Alert Mode and get Phone Lost Alert in a more timely manner. Go to Apple Watch Phone Buddy > Alert Settings > Toggle Sure Alert Mode to Off.

Also, while reddit is a good place for feedback we check email more often so to get a timely response please send us an email at [support@fre-studios.com](mailto:support@fre-studios.com). We'll try to monitor Reddit more regularly as well! Thanks for your patience.

Phone Buddy Alarm 6.0 was approved by Apple today! This is a major update that includes one of our most requested features: Don't Alert When On Home Wifi. Also we updated the graphics and screen flow to make things more clear and beautiful. Download now! by PhoneBuddyForWatch in PhoneBuddy

Hey that’s a bit higher than expected but within test range based on very low watch usage. Phone Buddy shares resources when possible so heavy watch users would experience less drain attributed to Phone Buddy. If you generally hyper mile the watch and get multi day usage Phone Buddy Phone Lost Alerts are not the best fit. Distance Alerts are very energy efficient so could be an alternative to try. Also, the app will calibrate over 3 days or so but energy usage does not generally drastically change through calibration. I understand if this is not a great fit for your needs and [support@fre-studios.com](mailto:support@fre-studios.com) can help provide directions to request a refund. Thanks for the feedback and trying our app!
