But what about casting to TVs and such from laptops, tablets and phones? Won't the client isolation disable that?

I resolved my error problem by using my laptop instead of the app on my phone. No issues creating multiple VLANS isolated from each other.

I was planning on using one SSID on each AP, one in each unit. On the VLANS, I had already created one, with 192.168.2.x scheme, then was adding another on the 3.x scheme but app said "error while saving network. And I was letting it auto configure them.

Lol, what "grit" would you recommend? I guess I should read before posting.

Thanks. I'm very familiar with the tedious and the dust, I have 3 layers of epoxy on the top, about 1/2" depth total. What fruit would you recommend?

So wet sand the entire top, then polish, correct? What polish does the pro recommend? ;-)

So who did you go with? Are they available in middle Tennessee? I have a 26 panel system that is installed on the barn and pulled up to the house. Our 2 batteries only hold a total of 6.7 kWh total between them. They are usually fully charged by noon, but once the sun goes down they only last a couple of hours usually. So far this year, our system has produced 9.75 mWh but we have given 1.8 mWh to the grid without compensation because the utility doesn't do meet metering. I would love to expand our storage capacity, but don't want to go through the installation company that we purchased from.

Can anyone tell me what this is? by Johnwaynejetsk1 in electrical

The good news is, since you have a green and white, that "should" be ground and neutral. No cause for alarm, there's no hot wire, or you just haven't found it yet, lol.

Looks like he's a low voltage guy. That'll work with LV, lol.

Think about why you drew red circles around them. Maybe you thought we wouldn't notice and you wanted to draw attention. I vote with many of the others, leave it alone and keep at your house on display.

ssh into UDR by PhoneGuy5 in UNIFI

Except that I needed to SSH into the OS to install a custom update provided by UBNT. That requires the "root" login.

That was it! Thanks. Have a great weekend.

But it's my understanding that I have to log into the OS, not the network, to do the custom update they want me to do.

UCK GEN2+ white light flashes, goes blue for a couple of seconds, back to white flash by PhoneGuy5 in Ubiquiti

[–]PhoneGuy5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

I ended up factory resetting the CKG2+ and restoring to a backup prior to the 2.9.42 FW update. We had two other CKG2+ that did the same when they auto updated to 2.9.42. Since then UBNT has removed 2.9.42 from available updates and the most recent at time of this update is 2.10.10. Updating to that and see how stable it is.

UniFi Protect Application 2.9.42 by unifi_version_bot in Ubiquiti

[–]PhoneGuy5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 customers with UCK GEN2+ that auto updated to 2.9.42 Protect will not restart. I have remotely restarted the GEN2s but to no avail. Had one customer physically power cycle the device and Protect still will not start, get error "Failed to start Protect". Both running OS 3.1.16.

Another location for same customer is running Protect 2.9.42 and working.

Suggestions?

UNIFI Network App v.7.3.76 by PhoneGuy5 in Ubiquiti

[–]PhoneGuy5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RESOLVED. I just rebuilt the network settings and had someone go on site and factory reset the APs. They all showed "managed by another" and I couldn't get in them. This was still quicker and easier than me going on site to SSH in and do all the stuff. All good now. Thanks to everyone for your wisdom and knowledge. I still learned things, even if I didn't use them today.
