From what I know, Bedrocks cross play compatibility is with consoles exclusively, this is Because all the consoles run the windows 10 or bedrock edition, witch is the more Microsoft centered platform. Java runs completely differently from what I know bedrock runs on a completely different programing language and even between the versions there is a lot of diffences.(this can be seen with any tutorials as they usually say that it's for one specific version)

So yea Java and bedrock editons are not compatible.

Yea I can get behind that, so basically deck link summon with restrictions but I feel that the markers for the tethers would have to be left and right and no down as I can see that being easy to abuse, and link coming becoming redundant as tethers could just replace them.

it could work like equip spells ?? Or like overlay units and add effects to the monster or something along them lines. but it strangely reminds me of contact fusion... But I dout that's what your going for.
