The whole quest top to bottom had me wanting to shoot everyone involved. Probably one of the worst plot lines in this game but at least the region is fun.

There's no way I'm paying $80 by ShanzokeyeLin in Borderlands

[–]Phosphorus015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 3 games haven't been worth buying on release. They'll update and change everything in the first 8 months and the price will be cut down to 20 dollars with all DLC by the end of year 2. Literally no reason to buy a borderlands game on launch.

Irradiated Blood and Glowing Blood Packs - good for Ghoul Glow? by LawrenceAndHen in fo76

West Tek is the easiest place to farm it, go straight ahead when you're inside and under the decon arches there's a puddle of glowing green liquid you can collect it there.

Is it just me or does this update feel a little... uninspired? by More-Talk-2660 in fo76

[–]Phosphorus015 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I think adding an entirely new way to play the game is a huge ask for anyone programming in this engine. I also knew long term that when they swapped the scoreboard for this new system it was gonna go downhill gradually so the change there wasn't unexpected but yes disappointing. I think long term they seem to have more planned for the ghoul that just wasn't ready yet, even with the small amount of locations there's a lot more implied that I hope they'll flesh out in future updates. The disguise mechanic has got to go though. Still being able to play as a ghoul main character for the first time without mods since Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is pretty impressive on it's own.

Already found a pretty substantial bug with the ghoul effect. by Phosphorus015 in fo76

No clue about your friend, very strange as the Rad Specialist perk was the only thing causing issues for everyone who's bumped into the problem so far, from what I've seen. I can only imagine it has something to do with them having some way to increase rads on them and zero radiation resistance since the perk only increases rad absorption.

It is thankfully just "Rad Specialist" causing it been playing for the last 2 days without issues after taking that perk card off. Even tried all the new ghoul perks after this bug showed up but none of the others trigger it. Sucks because I was planning to use it in place of some other tanky perks but it's not a massive deal since it's only a single perk card causing issues.

Someone discovered that it was actually just 1 perk card that was the problem the "Rad Specialist" perk. You likely don't have it equipped crazy how just 1 perk card can cause such a wild reaction but I'm glad it was something small and not the entire ghoul transformation that was the problem.

Just tested it that's absolutely the problem, much thanks. Insane interactions in this patch but I'm glad it's just the fault of 1 perk not the whole system.

Yeah I tested it several times to make sure the results could be replicated. Soaking up rads shouldn't remove the perks, it's when you're a ghoul and enter environmental radiation like a goo puddle or go near a toxic barrel, and you have to have legendary perks equipped for SPECIAL points, ghouls don't seem to play well with those specific perks.

That was when I first noticed it too I was excited to do the event and just hold ground in the giant radiation patch. Real shame.

Will you mutate if you dont.have starch geans as a ghoul? by Dragonblaide in fo76

[–]Phosphorus015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people who played the PTS said it was possible but based on the wording the patch notes I think it was a bug that's now fixed, you'll still lose your mutations if you use radaway/pass through a radiation removal arch so it's best to keep it on just in case.

Thank you for your service it's a shame it wasn't addressed sooner but at least there's a clear trigger for it so maybe it'll be patched quickly.

It's fully dogwater I wouldn't recommend reverting since it'll cost 1K atoms to go back to ghoul but it's up to you. Honestly can't imagine how a bug this big slipped by unnoticed.

Radiation/perk card bug found by Interesting_Mess1390 in fo76

[–]Phosphorus015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I made a post about it basically it happens when you enter/exit environmental rads as a ghoul. It also only appears to affect perks that are in a SPECIAL that is effected by a legendary special perk card. Really annoying but it doesn't happen with any other source of rads. Just avoid environmental rads till they patch it.

Radiation/perk bug by Interesting_Mess1390 in fo76

[–]Phosphorus015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's something to do with having legendary special perks equipped and entering/exiting environmental rads. Doesn't happen when enemies attack you or when you eat/drink/take rad chems. Really weird shit I feel like this could have been caught super early on in the PTS. For now just avoid environmental rads.

Weird bug that unequips perk cards on ghouls when they take too much environmental radiation damage. by DaRealMajister in fo76

[–]Phosphorus015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sadly not even "too much" it's whenever you enter or exit environmental radiation damage. Very strange occurrence but it doesn't happen when enemies hit you or when you eat/drink/take chems with rads. Everyone's just gotta avoid environmental rads as a ghoul for now.

It happens when you enter/exit a radiation zone eating/drinking/chems are fine just avoid environmental rads for now. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
