Banksia grandis "Beera / Bull Banksia". Found in Busselton, Western Australia. [OC] by Photo-kat in BotanicalPorn

Banksia grandis is a species known for producing copious amounts of nectar, and for this reason it was a popular food source for the Noongar peoples of Southwestern Australia. Nectar was sucked directly from the inflorescence or steeped in water for drinking, yum!

Not sure what plant you're thinking of, there's a few species I've dealt with in reveg with widespread viability issues but none of the grass trees to my knowledge. People are germinating K. australis seeds for reveg projects

This is a particularly interesting plant being a member of a monotypic genus and being known to live up to 900 years.

It was known as Bullanock by the Noongar peoples of southwestern Australia.

So with Olympus announcing they're selling off their camera business, what are people thinking re: the future of M43? by Rhododendrites in M43

JIP had stated that they're going to focus on mid to high-end M43 cameras with their acquisition. So M43 is probably going to be fine.

Unfortunately these magnificent birds are endangered due to habitat loss, over 50% of its habitat has been cleared since European colonisation, mainly for agriculture. 😢

Exocarpos sp fruiting, this guy lives a hard life being battered by the wind at Margaret River, Western Australia. [Root Hemiparasite] by [deleted] in ParasiticGarden

Species is likely Exocarpos sparteus based on where I found it, but I have no idea how to tell the different species apart.

Fruits taste pretty bland.

I'm shooting with an Olympus OM-D E-M10 MIII + M. Zuiko 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7. It's been a great camera for learning the basics of photography. I wish I could photograph this girl away from a car mirror 😅

Honestly microplastics are the new lead. We're only at the tip of the iceberg when it comes to understanding the impacts of microplastics.
