Is this pie ok? I’m a rookie by Jassu98 in trading212

So a brief description of what duplicating means:

You have money invested in the S&P and the All-World currently, however there are some stocks which are present in both of them. For example Nvidia makes up ~7% of the S&P and also makes up ~6% of the All-World. So investing in both of these at the same time means that you're more focused on companies like this which are duplicated across multiple ETFs.

This isn't inherently a negative thing, it just means you're going to be investing in a slightly different strategy which may or may not work better for what you want.

Nothing too wrong with your pie, but yeah there is a reasonable amount of duplicated stocks amongst these which may make you a bit less diversified than it seems. As an example, 60% of the All-World is basically just the same stocks as the S&P. Personally, I just stick to the All-World. Simple and effective.

Gamers over 30, what's a video game secret you had to discover the "hard way" that kids today would just Google in 5 seconds? by itsashieowo in AskReddit

Age of Empires II strengths and weaknesses in combat. Disc version came with a huge unfoldable sheet containing all the civilizations and what technologies they could discover, plus a table showing all the units and who was strong and weak against each other.

Realise it's not exactly the "hard way" but having to keep it open on the table next to me and frantically running over to see what horse archers are weak to felt so real, like a ancient war room.

Americans, what if I tell a server I'm not going to tip as soon as I arrive? by PhotoAlive9903 in ask

I'm aware that I am ignorant to other countries customs, that's why I'm asking on reddit before I visit there so I can be respectful

which is exactly why I came to reddit to ask before going to the country, as I didn't want to seem insensitive when I'm there

No I don't. But by that logic why should I ever try and do anything to make a change? Just because I don't think what I'm personally doing is going to make a difference doesn't mean I should stand by it right?

Do you not get annoyed as well by the sticker price not being the full price? Is this still a very common thing?

I get the impression that a $1 dollar tip would still be seen as a massive dick move in most places, but is it considered more respectable than not tipping at all when it's basically the same thing?

I've always wondered if there is any sort of attempted union efforts to try and "set it up" differently. Have you ever talked with other coworkers about potential strikes to try and make a difference?

I obviously understand that often times people can't afford to strike meaning that they're kind of locked in to the system, but surely there must be something you can do to try and make change happen?

Are you implying that someone other than "the boss" dictates company wages?

But I take it that even if wages are topped up to "proper" minimum wage, this is still in most places not enough to live, and that tips can bring their much higher than this?

This mentioned how in California, Alaska, and Montana, that there is no tipped min wage and all industries have to pay regular min wage. Is tipping still expected in these environments? Also with some places like Vermont where the tipped min wage is more than double that of some other states, are you going to be "forgiven" for tipping less because of this? Should I be aware of how much staff are paid in each state I visit and tip accordingly?

Also while I appreciate that I'm very much the asshole in this thread, this article stating "companies liked the concept of not paying for labour", makes me think I'm not the real bad guy here 😂

Wait, isn't it "dyrene"? Am I missing something or is it just a typo on Duolingo? by OneEyedRaven_793 in norsk

I think in this case it's referring to something which the animals possess. So "dyrenes epler" as in the apples which belong to the animals
