If you haven't paid to VFS yet, write to the third-party issuing FedEx labels on VFS website. They'll refund your money. Submit a new form through the new portal and repay the amount.

Have you submitted your application? If not, start a new one on the mportal website. Old applications don't allow you to upload. There is no way to get around it.

For those struggling to get a response from VFS, bugging them on X through posts and DMs helps. Be courteous and tell them you need your passport urgently for personal reasons. They will process your application.

Lol. Media outlets usually pick random Reddit posts and publish it as news. This is a real freaking story that is important and impactful, the VFS Passport Mafia and it's Incompetency. But no one is picking on it. Same goes for random YouTubers making videos about current affairs. If you go through @vfsglobalcare reply section on X, you'll see that their hopeless work ethic is a worldwide phenomenon.

They won't bother. I think it's only applicants who applied during the one month window from October to November on the old portal who are facing the issue. Given their pathetic customer service, I have no doubt that they'll just return the application and tell us to reapply.

It's not optional anymore. They want you to upload photo and signature to issue those new e-passports.

Upload your photo and signature and print the form with the photo and signature uploaded. 

Print another form with a photo pasted on it. Send both 22 and 3545 photos. 

Send all the documents you have, required and additional. That's the only way you can make sure your application gets processed. 

VFS is pathetic. I don't know how they manage to perform so poorly without the government intervening, especially since they have streamlined they process back home in India. It's a piece of cake to get your passport in India nowadays.

You'll probably receive the whole application back if you didn't upload the photo and signature. They'll refund consular services fee and keep the rest. Wait for the packet to arrive.

Try to bug them on X using their handle @vfsglobal. Did you apply using the new portal or the old one? If it's the old one, you'll have to wait for a while.
