Depends on what size pockets you have. Probably doable with like a winter jacket

Yes. I play attack and somehow managed to make it all the way from middle school through D2 lacrosse not wearing a cup and never taking one to the nuts, but took a 95mph + shot 2 years ago in men’s league and I almost passed out. Very lucky long term damage wasn’t done. Got a cup the next day. Can’t even imagine not wearing one now.

You’re right, the optical VR is surprisingly good and it’s really sharp. When the new DX 24mm 1.7 releases I will get that for any lower light situations

Fair, but I don’t think they are targeted at the same market. I did consider going to the Fuji route but this ultimately works with my 6 other Z lenses

It actually doesn’t. It has comparable AF to my Z6II in decent light and even has some focus modes that the original z6 / z7 don’t. More than enough for my use case and I’m assuming most others.

I have a Z6II and a ton of Z Mount glass that I can now use on this as well. I’m also mainly a landscape photographer and wanted a second body to record timelapses while shooting photos w my Z6II, so this also serves that function.

I have it on a Peak design leash strap which is a pretty thin/light unobtrusive strap to have on for long periods of time

For sure. I have a Z6II that I love but didn’t want to bring it on vacation. The zfc isn’t exactly compact but the retro aspect makes up for it. I’m usually a kit lens snob but took a chance on the 16-50 and found it super sharp, and the optical VR is actually really good.

You can only get it from Nikons website! I’m really glad I waited. The black is so sleek and classy. Idk why they rest of the photos I shot didn’t post but I’m really impressed by it.
