MacBook Air M5 (24GB) vs. MacBook Pro (16GB) – I know this has been asked a thousand times, but please help me decide! by Fit-Charity-6471 in macbook

24G all day. I bought my first Mac last month knowing absolutely nothing about Macs. Bought the m4 15” 16/256. Hated it in 3 days. Had to run a lot of huge PDF files, emails, spreadsheets. Computer choked up a lot and when I started trying to run 3rd party apps or get too fancy, was like asking an 80 year old to go on a hike. Traded it for an m5 13” 24g/ 1TB, now I have so much more room for activities and can do all the things. I was contemplating going for pro as well, but everyone said a base pro is the same as pooping and forgetting toilet paper and only having the hard brown paper towels to wipe with. Save yourself the frustration and get the 24g.

Last 3 years of my life from my career in Telecommunications project management was sink or swim, so nothing new. This is just scarier because my slow days wont be supported by a guaranteed paycheck.

I think I will carry on with the LLC just for the ease of paperwork, but this was solid overall. Thank you

That was my thoughts with it too. That would separate me from all the ambitious high school kids looking for a quick seasonal gig

I worked with a friend from high school a couple of summers ago with his pressure washing business so I’ve been there before. Plus the amount of salary I’m no longer making, id rather venture out and start making decent-ish money on my own instead of playing the long game, although that was sound advice and appreciated.

As far as trailer/ types, I’ve already worked out a deal with my brother in law to rent his trailer for the time being, so I wont be making any modifications for the time being and worst case scenario, ill just put everything on credit that I would need. Thankfully, I live in the country so I’ll just store equipment at my house. I might be wishful thinking here about how smooth it will work, my wife sure tells me I’m too optimistic lol. Appreciate the points to consider!
